Upon arrival, we were shocked by the condition of the property. Cobwebs covered nearly every room, and we repeatedly walked into them. We also found dust, hair on the floors, dusty bedding, spiders, and even a pair of panties hanging on the shower door. There were only two towels for three guests despite being told extras were available. We documented everything with photos and videos and immediately contacted the host and Vrbo before even unpacking. We spent over two hours, until midnight, trying to resolve the situation. The host initially offered to clean the next day and refund only the first night, which was unacceptable given the property's condition. After lengthy discussions, he offered a refund for two of our three nights but not the fees, claiming we had "technically" stayed despite never using the home. Vrbo ultimately supported this resolution, leaving us to find new accommodations late at night after a long drive. The host claimed the home had been cleaned two days earlier and blamed spiders on the hot weather, but the level of cobwebs and overall uncleanliness suggested otherwise. He also never addressed the underwear found in the bathroom. To make matters worse, he failed to process the agreed refund until Vrbo contacted him again after I followed up.While the host was responsive, the property's condition and the disappointing resolution make it impossible for me to recommend staying here, especially for anyone with arachnophobia or expecting a clean, well-
