About the host
Hosted by My Property Management- Ludo
We are the host of a few unique properties that we travel between. We are working professionals with four young adult daughters. These are our homes that we open up part-time to guests. We enjoy sharing our special places with you and offer a 5-star experience with location, service, accommodations, privacy, security, linens, products, and attention to detail.
Costa Rica is a unique place that brings us tranquility and an opportunity to enjoy marine and land environments. The residents are the nicest you will find anywhere! The food is healthy, delicious, readily available, and inexpensive! But travel is cumbersome as many (most?) roads are not paved. Dust, insects, humidity, power outages, and heat are inescapable. Please prepare for these in advance of your stay to ensure a safe and relaxing stay in Costa Rica!

Why they chose this property
We love the small surf village of Samara! The Villa is just on the edge of the village, a few minutes walk to coffee, markets, restaurants, bars, and the Intercultura Language School. No need for a rental car. The people are extremely friendly, the beaches wonderful, the ocean and rain are warm, and there are countless excellent restaurants with international cuisine (including local Tico, Italian, French, and Sushi). If you do have a rental car, there are countless nearby beaches and other small villages to explore. Car, ATV, Golf cart, E-bike, and bicycle rentals are available daily in Samara.
What makes this property unique
Our Villa is so close to town, but not in town. You can hear the ocean waves crashing. It is surrounded by jungle and wildlife but still has ocean views. It is located in a 4-home gated community and is very safe and secure. The wildlife viewing is excellent.
For us, two things stand out about Villa Del Cielo.
1) The first is that the Villa offers the privacy and feel of a home in the jungle while offering easy access to a beach village. You get the best of both experiences!
The Villa is very private (spacious grounds, gated community, lots of vegetation) so you feel like you are in the jungle, but you are just a few minutes walk to town, so it is easy to access shopping and food and the atmosphere of a Costa Rican village.
2) The second awesome thing about the Villa is the amazing opportunities for wildlife and night sky viewing! If you watch and listen you will not be disappointed. On the property live a nesting pairs of pesotes, ducks, and inguanas. The monkeys pass through daily (easy to miss and you will hear leaves rustling before you see them). The bird watching is outstanding. There is a variety of resident wildlife (i.e., birds, iguanas, geckos, caotes, raccoons, lizards) and passing-through wildlife (i.e., monkeys, fruit bats, etc). The pool lights have been disabled as they attracted bats. In their place is outdoor ambiance lighting that is very romantic. The patio is enjoyable for cocktails, cards, or a swim in the pool late into the evening.
More details on the Villa:
Felix, the gardener, attends to the pool and garden daily (except Sundays). He quietly arrives first thing in the morning to have the pool ready for your morning swim! Gardening occurs late morning intermittently throughout the weekdays. These services are essential to maintain the pool and property and cannot be discontinued during guest stays.
