Dealing with our host was a pleasure. Within 30 minutes of us noticing the barbecue propane tank was empty and sending a note, we had 2 filled tanks delivered! Barbecue SAVED!!!The place was BIG, comfy, cool in the hot summer, clean. The waterfront is great as is the aqua gear (paddle board, kayaks, paddle boat) for the enjoyment of the water.Great spot.

It was the perfect getaway for the family. The amenities the property provided were fantastic. The personal touches made us feel welcomed as soon as we open the door. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the property itself was beautiful and well maintained. Communication with our host, Shadow, was easy and simple. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the property overall. I apologize for any confusion regarding the dock — it is present on the property, but depending on the season or water levels. As you know , this spring is cold so we delayed the dock launch date for the warmer weather instead. We appreciate your comments and hope to host you again in the future!

Amazing Cottage and Stay

Our family stayed at Joyce's cottage, a gorgeous modern newly renovated house. Everything was exactly as described and communication with the owner was 100%. They were very quick to respond with any questions I had. The property is really large - perfect for a family with a dog. The area and lake are super quiet. If you're looking to get away and isolate for a bit, I highly recommend this property. Thank you for everything, including the snacks :)

Short family getaway.

We were a group of 5 adults and two children. We wanted a lakeside experience and we got it in spades from the location, the accommodation, the firepit and kayaks and paddle boat . The weather even cooperated. The owner quickly responded to questions and requests. The pictures are an accurate presentation of the listing. Overall a fantastic experience thanks to the owner.

Joyce cottage is easily accessible with good parking and proximity to Napanee! We found the listing is accurate in regard to the photos of her cottage, but the Sunshine cottage was a little close then we expected despite that being listed in her rental description! All in all, we thought there would be more separation from the Sunshine then what we experienced! The waterfront was accurately described however it was really weedy and not swimmable from our point of view!

Wonderful stay

Our group had an amazing time at Joyces cottage this past weekend. The cottage was very clean and stocked with everything from teas and coffee to cooking utensils. There were also a lot of extra touches we enjoyed! The cottage is located right on the lake and we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boats that are conveniently located in the boathouse beside the lake( lifejackets are also provided) Theres also a fire pit and muskoka chairs set up near the dock to enjoy. The host was easy to communicate with and kept in touch throughout our stay to make sure that we were having a good time and finding everything satisfactory(which we definitely did) We highly recommend this cottage and have already discussed returning! Such a peaceful and relaxing getaway from the city!

May long weekend family stay

Truly wonderful weekend. Beautifully updated and maintained cottage. Large yard and boasted a beautiful view from the firepit and dock. There is a beautiful firepit for Joyce guests (red chairs on brick) which we enjoyed tremendously. The hosts were responsive and friendly when communicating with us. Everything was very well organized. But, while our weekend was 99% perfect, I would draw attention to a couple minor things. The grounds are shared with another cottage- so unless you book both you may be in close proximity to others on the property while outdoors. This was not an issue for us- our neighbours stuck to themselves and weren’t seen outside much. The beach was very rocky with lots of shells and debris (sticks and grasses) washed up. Not really an issue if you just want to use the water equipment. But, If you intend to swim, consider bringing water shoes. But as I said, those were minor issues and the property was fantastic. Overall, I would come back in a heartbeat.
