The entire private 1/4 acre beach front property is offered as a single rental. The property is for sale, but even if we get an offer cannot close until March. You will be asked to accommodate showings at convenient times. Showings are rare so very much appreciated. Grand Palapa main house is a true work of art, with exotic hardwoods throughout and genuine thatched roof. Open entertaining area, ceiling fans, and idyllic view of palm shaded garden and sandy beach. Spacious air-conditioned bedroom with king sized bed with lots of down pillows. Oversized bathroom. Full kitchen. Three comfortable areas to gather with two sofa beds and comfortable chairs in living room area, two luxurious lounge chairs in sitting area and dining table for 6. Cooling plunge bath off terrace with views of ocean, garden. Drop down see through screens to protect from rain, wind, sun and keep house cooler. High speed internet.

Guest Bungalow (new 2024): : Traditional design with contemporary comforts. Twin beds as a combined king bed with high quality pillows and bedding. Fully air-conditioned. Luxurious indoor/outdoor shower. Full kitchenette. Modem for high speed internet.

The Grounds: Sparkling blue Pacific. One-quarter acre within feet from the ocean and a lightly used beach. Beach front ramada with 3 hammocks with pillows and 6 lounge chairs facing beach. Gentle breezes and spectacular sunsets.This property is in a quiet location with an undeveloped lot on the north and a modest 2 bedroom home on the 1/4 acre lot on the south. We have a very friendly safe neighborhood..
Bodega: washer, dryer, storage, 2 boogie boards, water wings are available. The surf boards are NOT for use.
Parking within gated walled property.
Fast wireless internet.
Housekeeper Yazmin and gardeners Enedino and Jesus will come every Tuesday and Friday from 9-11. Jesus will run errands on his motorcycle. There is a convenient store for basics a block away. Taxi is another way to get to restaurants and grocery stores.
Prepare the catch-of-the-day in the fully equipped kitchen or wander into the village to sample some of the local fare at several delicious restaurants and cafes.

Relaxation is paramount at Casa Riscal. You'll enjoy access to miles of lightly used ,sandy beaches, the sparkling blue Pacific, an outdoor plunge bath and hammocks under a ramada beneath a lush Mangale grove. All ensure that you will return from your stay rested and rejuvenated.

Located just 30 +/- miles north of Zihuatenejo in the charming and close to the welcoming village of Troncones, Casa Riscal is purely and simply, bliss on the beach.

The place is awesome, loved it! Basically a giant tent, open towards the ocean, bedroom is air conditiones. Open air kitchen, lounging area, swing seats, ocean view is absolutely amazing. Very quiet, very few people on the beach. Hosts were welcoming and responsive there are several restaurants and small minimarket in easy walking distance (check out no name restaurant right next to minimart!), but Troncones proper is bit further out

Lovely week in Troncones

Casa Riscal is a beautiful spot in the laid back beach town of Troncones. The two casitas are designed and built using exquisite natural materials, and are the perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

Fantastic In Every Way

We have stayed at a number of excellent places in Troncones and Majahua over the years, but Nancy’s place is officially our favorite. The location is perfect—right on the beach in a tranquil part of town with absolutely amazing views.The property is ultra-relaxing and the layout (with the guest house) makes it perfect for a couple. The grounds are immaculate, full of lush coconut and palm trees and beautiful grass. We loved the outdoor kitchen; it had all the supplies and amenities we needed to cook and relax. The master bedroom offers stunning ocean views to wake up to.Practical details were also spot on: the property feels very safe and secure with a gate and room for a car or two. Having outdoor showers and hoses to rinse off after the beach was a huge plus. The service was top-tier as well; the gardener and house cleaner came twice a week and were friendly and did a great job.Nancy was an amazing host. Communication was excellent, she covered all the important details upon arrival, and was always available if we needed anything. We were disappointed we only had a week here—we really couldn't recommend this property enough!

Beautiful Views and Private Home

We stayed here about a week ago. Had 7 wonderful days to take in the town and views from the amazing deck! The House was perfect for us, absolutely loved the deck/porch with the swings. The sunsets in the evening were just beautiful on pretty much a private beach. Loved just laying in the tide pools during the day. Water was too rough to float or swim…could be the time of year. Weather was very hot 🥵 thankful Nancy added AC to the bedroom. That was a life saver! Place was very clean and private. They also had a lot of things I wasn’t expecting like basic needs…bathroom supplies, medicines, coffee spices etc. I highly recommend checking it out if you love the beach, cool town and amazing people!

We absolutely loved our week stay at Casa Riscal! The place has everything you could ever need. It's so peaceful and quiet. It's located in the northern section of town which is quieter and and the beach area is much less busy....really the entire beach from south Troncones all the way to La Majahua is not busy....but you see very few people at this spot. Loved the open air spaces and laying in bed staring at the ocean and listening to the waves. Amazing sunsets every night. Loved feeding pineapple to the hermit crabs and iguanas. The hermit crabs are really something else! Nancy was a great host and was very responsive. Our only complaint is that the property is for sale and we're worried we won't be able to come back next year!! Fingers crossed it stays on vrbo as it's too special not to be shared.

La zona en la que se encuentra la casa es muy linda y céntrica. Hay tiendas, restaurantes. La dueña nos dio muchos tips de la casa y algunos lugares cercanos. Tiene acceso a la playa y al mar pero no se puede nadar pues toda esa playa tiene rocas, es una playa mas para caminar. La casa anuncia tener una alberca pero es mas como una tina. Una alberca ayudaría mucho y tienen el espacio ideal. Me hubiera gustado que tuviera servicio de limpieza todos los días. Estuvimos 10 días y sólo limpiaron la casa dos veces. La casa es muy acogedora y bonita, invita a estar ahí disfrutando de la vista y el jardín. Me encantó poder ir con mis perros quienes también disfrutaron mucho. La casa en mucho mas linda en persona que en las fotos. Me gustó mucho el concepto. Todos los servicios funcionan bien, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días de descanso y puro disfrute. Definitivamente queremos volver!

Tranquility and rejuvenation in Troncones

Troncones is a truly magical place due to its remoteness, beautiful weather, architecture and access to nature. Casa Riscal is a great place to enjoy Troncones. We loved the architecture and grounds, as long walks on the beach. This is a great place for a couple or small family to stay.

Amazing Vacation

Troncones is a nice, quite and clean town. Perfect to avoid crowds and big hotels developments. I have a very good communication all the time with Nancy. Her house is a wonderful beachfront property, perfect to relax and have a wonderful vacation. The house is a beautiful "palapa" built with great materials. The floor may pass unadvertised for many but is made with parota wood (which was common in the nearby Michoacan area time ago, but nowadays is a beautiful luxury). It has all you need to feel comfortable in a space designed with simplicity and great taste. It was the perfect place for my family to relax and enjoy the beach. We cooked all your meals here since the kitchen is well equipped and every day we went to find the "catch of the day". The internet speed worked very well and my 3 kids were able to attend to their online classes with any problems. Thank you Nancy for sharing your space with us. It is unique!

Un bello lugar para relajarse

Nuestra estancia en Casa Riscal fue maravillosa. La casa es un lugar muy lindo, con un amplio espacio donde pueden correr un niño y una mascota. El lugar está muy bien ventilado, puedes sentir la brisa del mar todo el día ya sea si estás sentado en el comedor o acostado en una hamaca viendo el mar. La casa está equipada con todo lo necesario. La pasamos muy bien estando hospedados aquí y nuestro niño fue muy feliz en la alberca. La comunicación con Nancy/Iván siempre fue buena, ambos fueron muy atentos y respondieron nuestras preguntas. Definitivamente regresaremos para disfrutar una vez más de este hermoso lugar.

Disfrutamos mucho la estancia en esta propiedad, PERO tuvimos frío algunas noches (fuimos a fin de año), deberían tener cobijas para todas las camas, las que tienen son muy delgadas. También hubiéramos disfrutado más con una piscina, la que tiene no califica como tal.

La casa es hermosa y con un ambiente playero , en la casa están casi todos los enseres que necesitas para tu comodidad. El segundo cuarto no es conveniente para niños menores ya que es un bungalow separado de la casa principal y permanece abierto. Muy conveniente para otras edades supongo .

Privacy, nature, sound of the waves while you sleep

This property is a beautiful open plan space that let’s you enjoy the view of a beautiful garden and the waves directly from bed. We had different types of lizards and iguanas calmly visit daily and the garden was filled with butterflies and some birds. It takes a lot to keep such an open plan place at the beach the way Nancy has been able to do so. Everything os of high quality, the thick wooden floors, the massive bathroom. The bedroom is simple but the king size bed with soft pillows is very comfortable, what was most impressive was that during this month of August the bedroom was lovely and cool and I could even use the blanket. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy a week at casa Riscal.

Peaceful bliss!

What more can be said? This place was amazing. If you like quiet, secluded, serene getaways than this is your place. Off the beaten path, I would recommend having some Spanish in your vocabulary. Beaches out front weren't the best swimming ones but a bit further up and down the way were amazing swimming beaches. Great open concept layout. Never stressed about a thing while we were here. Would recommend to all!

My wife Nancy and I always dreamed of a home on the ocean. Troncones presented a once in a lifetime opportunity and we seized the moment. We built our first home in 1998 on one of the two lots we purchased. We sold that house in 2009 and built the Casa you see here.

The ocean is in your front yard. The village of Troncones provides a friendly, intimate enviornment with smiling people and a general feeling of good will. The pace of life instills a sense of tranquility and casual rythmn. Things happen in their own time here without the usual hub bub of our daily lives.
