About this property

Vintage Pinball Loft | Sleeps 2

Summary:

Welcome to the heart of downtown Appleton. This fully remodeled vintage loft sits right on College Avenue, steps from great restaurants, bars, coffee shops and everything downtown has to offer.

Restored brick walls, exposed rafters and huge windows give the space plenty of character, and everything inside is brand new. Add a fully equipped kitchen, flexible keypad self check-in and an old-school pinball machine, and you have one of the most fun stays in downtown Appleton.

The Space:

This historic downtown Appleton building has been fully remodeled with an industrial-modern feel, and it's packed with character. Restored brick walls, exposed rafters and huge windows make the space feel bright and one of a kind.

The kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a gas range, ready for anything from morning coffee to a full dinner. Everything in the loft is brand new.

And then there's the old-school pinball machine, a guest favorite and a fun way to unwind after a day downtown.

The location is hard to beat. Just open your door and you're in the middle of downtown events, dining and nightlife. Performing at the PAC? It's about an 8-minute walk from our door to the stage door. And if you'd like ideas for where to eat, drink or explore, just ask. We have plenty of local recommendations.

Guest Access:

The entire loft is yours during your stay, with a private keypad entrance. You can come and go as you please.

Your check-in instructions and personal entry code will come through Breezeway before you arrive. The loft is on the second floor and is reached by about 20 stairs.

Please make yourself at home, and respect any locked doors, storage areas or spaces marked private.

The Neighborhood:

Downtown Appleton is one of the Midwest's downtowns that keeps thriving and growing, and you're right in the middle of it. College Avenue is lined with great restaurants, coffee shops, wine shops, boutiques and a lively nightlife scene.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is about an 8-minute walk away for Broadway shows, concerts and comedy, and Lawrence University is just a 2-minute walk. The public library is close by, and on Saturday mornings in season, the Downtown Appleton Farmers Market fills College Avenue. It's one of the best farmers markets north of Madison.

Getting Around:

Uber and Lyft are available for trips around Appleton and the Fox Cities. It can take longer to get a ride late at night, during big events or in winter weather, so we suggest booking a little early. A city bus station is also a few blocks away.

Downtown Appleton is very walkable, so restaurants, shops, the PAC and nightlife are all an easy stroll away.

Other Things to Note:

The loft is on the second floor, up about 20 stairs, so please plan accordingly if you have heavy luggage or trouble with stairs.

You're staying in the heart of downtown, so you may sometimes hear normal city sounds, especially on weekends, at night and during events.

Please enjoy the pinball machine with care, and let us know through Breezeway if it isn't working right.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the loft. If we find signs of smoking or vaping, a $250 fine will be charged. Parties and events are also not allowed. Please keep noise down for the neighbors, especially after 10:00 PM.

If you notice any damage or maintenance problems, please message us through Breezeway right away so we can fix them.

Interaction with Guests:

We want you to feel welcome and well taken care of during your stay. With private keypad access to the upstairs loft, you can come and go as you please and explore downtown Appleton at your own pace.

Guesty handles reservation communication, including booking details and important stay information.

Breezeway is our main platform for guest communication before and during your visit. Your check-in instructions, keypad code and property updates will all come through Breezeway.

Fun Appleton flat

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Appleton. The space was perfect for a couple. It had everything we needed and was nicely set up and decorated. We especially appreciated the fans and all the hooks! Small things that make a big difference. Location is great, College Ave was interesting and fun to walk up and down. Very close to Authors, the best restaurant in Appleton. The gift shop right under the apartment, Blue Moon, was also great. Minor downsides are no dishwasher (not a big deal for two people) and the pinball machine worked maybe ⅓ of the time (we got our fix, though). Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect.

The remodeling/upgrades done on this 1900’s apartment are well done. They’ve modernized the apartment while keeping the classic charm. While Downton Appleton goes to sleep early (unless you enjoy bar hopping), the block that this apartment is located has a number of fun little shops/coffeehouses/eateries. There is also a large YMCA behind this apartment which offers day passes if you accustom to a daily workout. One negative (which is out of the control of this apartment owner) is parking. Street parking is only allowed during the day and in 2-hour chunks. The parking app will not let you book consecutive 2-hour blocks of time, so you’ll need to move your car to a new stall every two hours. There is a convenient parking ramp on the next block which is $20 per overnight. I would stay here again as I need to beat my high score on the pinball machine!
