We had a nice stay at the Cabin in the Woods. The location is great, it was very clean, and it was very comfortable for our family of 7. The fact that it's pet-friendly makes it !
Such a beautiful cabin in the woods! We loved visiting the State Park and Seneca Lake Wineries and having a close and private home to go to. Loved having a washer/dryer to take our clothes home clean. We didn't cook there but the cabin is equipped with updated appliances for any of your needs. Our only suggestion would be to add a couple wine glasses for all the yummy wine produced in this region.
We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. Was far enough away from the busyness of Watkins Glenn during the Fourth of July. He got close enough to go back-and-forth as we needed. This cabin had everything for a quiet getaway.
This was an awesome cabin that suited our trip perfectly. Very close to Watkins Glen and many nearby wineries. Also, an easy drive to several state parks and beautiful trails. If I return to the area, I'd stay here again.
An enjoyable, uniquely designed cabin with a secluded property that is great for dogs. Minutes away from Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake if hiking or boating are on the itinerary.

This property was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Watkins Glen. The cabin was in an excellent location, close to town for dining and shopping, we enjoyed our stay , everything is provided for you and is spacious and clean. We will most likely come back when weather allows for more seasonal activities like hiking, camping and boating. Access to trails was very limited due to icy conditions but the frozen waterfalls provided some beautiful photos , looking forward to returning again in summer
We stay here for an event at Watkins Glenn International which is less than 8 minutes away. The location was peaceful and comfortable. The house is close to town and many local site seeing attractions. Everything we needed was provided to make our stay great. I highly recommend this home.
Great woodsy place to stay while watching races at Watkins Gwen
We came up for a weekend to watch some races at Watkins. Glen and the place was perfect. Air conditioning work very well. Wi-Fi was great outdoor fire pit was nice to have definitely recommend.
The cabin is located so close to everything it was great. Whether hiking or checking out other attractions we were not far away from anything. Cabin was comfy and had all the things we needed. Our dog was really relaxed here and enjoyed the yard a lot.
It's a perfect getaway just a short drive from the city. The house has all the amenities one would need. The property is beautiful and well kept.
My only feedback is to get something for the corners of the spiral staircase as it's not forgiving to tall folks.
Wonderful cabin! So many updates. Perfect location for our annual family & friend NYE gathering with the kids. We would definitely consider this property again.
My husband and I got married in the Finger Lakes in 2017 and this was an anniversary trip.
Pros/cons to the property. I do agree with a recent reviewer that the property itself was not the cleanest. The fridge and floor were sticky. There was only a broom available, no vacuum, so we did our best to clean with that. In terms of the exterior, there is a light on the back of the house and a motion sensor light in the front, but it is not very bright, so I would strongly recommend bringing a flashlight, especially if you need to bring your dog out at night. It did get cold in the house but there are small space heaters that helped.
Pros - house provides linens/towels, space heaters, etc. We didn’t use the loft area at all, but it is a nice size if you have guests. Property is very private. Overall location is absolutely perfect. Very close to Watkins Glen State Park (you can see the waterfall as you’re driving into town), the Franklin Street strip has a ton of eateries and a nice brewery, and it’s a 20 min drive to some fantastic wineries along Seneca Lake!! I imagine this place would be even better in the summer time. Would stay again.
