Now at Eagles nest! You can relax and enjoy a warm water oasis in our new enclosed 7 adult HOT TUB. Sip your beverage while you enjoy the beautiful view of Waneta Lake all year round. This is a comfy cottage situated between Keuka and Seneca Lakes, right next to Waneta Lake (Waterview). Relax in its expansive park like settings , lake activities, quaint villages, wineries and breweries, Skiing, ice fishing.
(Owners insect control business w/ Bed Bug detection dog, guarantees no Bed Bugs for you to rest easily. )
New enclosed Hot Tub, TV, shower, lake access, A/C and heat split type ductless system, two built in heaters (bedroom and bathroom), a private covered screened in porch. New open deck overlooking view of Waneta Lake (nice lake view).
For the Kayak enthusiasts you have access to Waneta and Lamoka Lakes. Located at the end of road and also DEC facilities between both lakes.
Dog friendly. Only dogs allowed. Dog size - no limit. 3 dog limit. All dogs must be leashed while outside on property. You are responsible to cleanup after your dog. (See Dog rules and regulations inside).
You are located 3 minutes from The Arrowhead, a 9 hole golf course.

Our first stay at this property in 2025 was so wonderful that we returned again this year. We especially appreciated the welcome we received from Diane and Tom. We enjoyed the screened-in porch and hot tub. The large property was great for our dog. We plan to return next year.

Fantastic stay! The hosts were welcoming and met us at arrival, the house was very clean, and the extra touches like cold water and coffee were appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for exploring wineries and visiting Watkins Glen State Park. It was a great home base—honestly, one weekend wasn’t enough. We’d definitely return and highly recommend!

The hosts were very nice and the cottage was decorated nice, but functionality was lacking. The limited water supply was anything but ideal. Then the propane hose sprung a leak and there was no hot water overnight and part of the next day. Then we used the oven and the fumes were terrible. The heat source would not change temperature in the cottage either.

We were very surprised that tenant left us an unfavorable review. The tenant stated that our water supply was anything but ideal. We explained to him when he first arrived the difference between well and city water. Everyone on the lake has well water including us. THE WATER DID NOT RUN OUT. He called us on the afternoon ON THE NEXT DAY that he had no HOT water. He didn't say he had NO water. We asked him why he didn't call us when it happened and not the next day. He said it wasn't important and was busy. We also told him to call us ASAP if he needed anything. We right away came over, after purchasing the propane hose and regulator (which had sprung a leak and ran out) (it was a manufactured defect). The Propane tank is OUTSIDE the cottage & any fumes were all OUTSIDE. We fixed it all within 1 1/2 HRS. of Tenant's call. As far as the 4 yr old oven was concerned, WE AND THE CLEANING SERVICE checked it. There were NO FUMES OR PROBLEMS with it after they left & turned it on and did not smell anything. Our guess is that the Tenant did not follow our verbal directions (as we tell everyone when they first come in) that you have to Press in the ignition knob and hold it until it ignites. (NO FUMES SMELL HERE). As far as the heat split, There is nothing wrong with it. We showed Tenant how to use it. IT WORKS FINE. There have been NO problems with our tenants F0LLOWING HIS STAY. NO health and safety issues here. With 40 5*s NO LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY AT OUR PLACE.

Very nice cabin on large lot with nice lake view. The hosts are very accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hot tub was a nice amenity to wrap up our days touring the finger lakes.

Fantastic stay! The cottage was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable for us, and we had everything we needed and more. The location is fantastic with lots of natural beauty, quiet roads to walk our dog, and a lovely view of the lake. We visited a few local businesses and had some great BBQ but we were mostly in town for a race.
This was the view on my walk about two minutes down the road!

It was a pleasure to meet our Host Diane and Tom. The cottage was clean and well equiped. It is apparent Diane and Tom take great pride in their rental. They greeted us at the cottage and showed us around the property. Diane and Tom made us feel at home and recommended a delicious restraunt and we coildnt leace wothout visiting "The Dutch Kuntry Store". The hot tub with lake views was perfect!

Anniversary wknd

Great place for a weekend get away! It’s beautiful, very clean and welcoming! The fire pit and hot tub were wonderful after a day of hiking. Very close to wineries and great restaurants!

Love this lake cottage!

This was our second stay at this cottage and we have already booked for next year! The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. When we walked in the cottage smelled so clean it was refreshing. So many nice amenities including a hot tub. Can’t beat this for a stay at lake waneta!

We are the owners of Eagles Nest Rentals. We also own an exterminating company and we have a Bed Bug Detection Dog that inspects our properties and other properties.
We also live next door from our Vacation cottage.
We are originally from Rochester NY, moved to our beautiful 6.3 acre land with view of Waneta Lake.
Tom loves woodworking. Diane is a former Ballet school owner and dancer and also enjoys dabbling in making and selling beautiful jewelry including Turquoise, Jade, Pearls, coral, and etc. We have 19 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

Our property is close to Waneta Lake. We have a great Lake view from the kitchen, the bedroom, the closed in porch, and the enclosed Hot Tub room. We also have a large park like setting for our guest to use. It is located by beautiful, peaceful, quiet country settings.
We are Dog friendly. Limit 3 dogs. Instructions for the dogs are in the kitchen for our guest to read and follow by.
We have an exterminating company and a Bed Bug Detection dog to insure there are NO BED BUGS in the cottage for our guest to sleep easy.
