WELCOME TO THE ARTHOUSE

The ArtHouse is not simply a place to sleep. It is a colorful, creative, and completely original St. Augustine experience.

We transformed an industrial warehouse into a joyful 3BR/2BA vacation home inspired by Peace, Love & Happiness. Every room combines industrial character with local artwork, handcrafted details, bold colors, and a few wonderful surprises. We poured our hearts into creating a home unlike anywhere else you have stayed.

ART IS EVERYWHERE

Enter through the Bamboo Garden using your private entrance code, then follow the glow of the neon “Welcome” sign inside. You’ll immediately see the vibrant Spread Love graffiti wall, created by local artist Brandon Thrift. Outside, his colorful St. Augustine mural provides another unforgettable backdrop.

Local artisans handcrafted the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, while talented craftspeople created the beds and headboards. The kitchen’s showpiece is a stunning red cedar and epoxy island countertop, handmade by a local St. Augustine team. You’ll also find beautiful stained-glass doors, distinctive furnishings, GE Café appliances, a SMEG refrigerator, and artwork throughout the home.

The VW-inspired bed is always a guest favorite and makes the den and third bedroom one of the most fun spaces in the house.

YOUR PRIVATE BAMBOO GARDEN

Step outside into the Bamboo Garden, where tall bamboo, colorful bottle caps, café lights, outdoor games, and a picnic table create a playful and peaceful place to relax. Start the morning with coffee, unwind after exploring St. Augustine, or rinse off beneath the outdoor shower.

NEED MORE SPACE?

The charming Sanchez Suites Guest House is located at the front of the property and can be reserved separately for additional friends or family. The two rentals have separate parking, separate entrances, and no shared indoor or outdoor spaces.

Sanchez Suites offers two king-bedroom suites, two full bathrooms, and an additional twin-over-full Restoration Hardware bunk bed in the second suite, accommodating four to six guests. A delightful screened porch connects the two suites, while two rocking chairs on the front porch provide another peaceful place to relax.

Reserve one home or both and enjoy traveling together while still having your own space and privacy. Life is good at the ArtHouse!

We loved the house and the ART Theme. Very Nice. My 18yr old picked it for her birthday. We all loved it. Great location too. Would definitely return. A tremendous amount of thought was put into decorating the Art House.

holy cow the listing does not do this property justice! We had everything we needed, plenty of space, so much fun art and darling surprises. We kept discovering new fun things. If I could give this rental six stars I would. It is absolutely wonderful, whimsical, cozy and warm. My family had the best time just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful house. Wendy and David made us feel like family... who could ask for more? My family is already asking me when can we go back. It's such a happy place filled with peace joy and fun. We came to St. Augustine for our annual cousin trip and, after much consideration, booked the Art House. There were plenty of options in the area, but the uniqueness of this home perfectly matched the vibe we were going for.The home is beautifully curated, with thoughtful details in every space. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the AC stayed nice and cold (a must for a Florida stay), and everything was spotless. It was also stocked with thoughtful amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable.One of the biggest advantages of this home is its location. We were within walking distance of several restaurants, as well as the trolley tour we booked, which made getting around incredibly easy.The host were friendly and communicated in a timely manner.

My family and I stayed at the Art House March 10 through March 13, 2026. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, it was the most perfect stay! The location is fantastic, so many sites and restaurants are within walking distance. The house is exceptionally clean, the beds are comfortable and the decor is incredible! We were all astounded at the love and care that was put into the home. If you’re traveling to Saint Augustine, and you want a truly amazing and uplifting experience that will put a smile on your face, stay at the Art House! It’s that memorable!!

We had the best time at The Art House! Truly a unique, spotless place with everything you need—and so many thoughtful extras. You really only need to bring your clothes. The beds are very comfortable, and I loved all the little Love Signs—they made you feel so welcomed. The location is perfect; we walked everywhere with our three teenage daughters. Can't wait to visit again!

This place is the absolute best and the hosts are gems! This is our second time staying in one of Wendy & David's properties, and our experience could not have been better. The Arthouse was immaculately clean, filled with joy and charm, and a cozy and comfortable home base for 4 (admittedly bougie and snobby) women to enjoy a fabulous girls' weekend in St A. We’re Wendy and David, entrepreneurs who love creating experiences that bring people together. By day, we run TeamBonding, our corporate team building company. On nights and weekends, we devote ourselves to our passion project: welcoming guests to our three unique St. Augustine vacation rentals.

The ArtHouse is especially meaningful to us. Transforming an empty warehouse into a vacation home challenged all of Wendy’s design and decorating skills, particularly her love of color.

What would you do with an empty warehouse? For us, the answer was easy. We wanted to turn it into a funky, industrial, hippie-chic vacation rental filled with art, creativity, and fun. One of our photos shows where we started, with nothing more than an empty space and a concrete floor. Everything you see today was thoughtfully designed, colorfully decorated, and furnished with love.

Visit any of our three guest houses, and you’ll discover our favorite furniture, designers, local artwork, handcrafted pieces, and custom cabinetry. Each home has its own personality, but they all share the same goal: to make our guests feel comfortable, happy, and completely at home.

The best part for us is hearing that guests love these spaces as much as we do. We truly get a kick out of making people happy.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it offers a wonderful mix of history, character, convenience, and local St. Augustine life.

At the front of the property is Sanchez Suites, our two-bedroom, two-bathroom dogtrot cottage. We’ve stayed there on and off for the past year, and when we’re away, we welcome vacation rental guests who have come to love it as much as we do.

Sanchez Suites is a relatively new home in one of St. Augustine’s oldest neighborhoods. When we purchased it, the property included an empty warehouse in the back. We immediately knew the warehouse was something special and began imagining what it could become. That vision eventually became the ArtHouse.

The location is another reason we fell in love with the property. We’re just three houses from San Marco Avenue, across the street from the Fountain of Youth, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, attractions, and historic downtown St. Augustine.

You can spend the day exploring the city, then return to a colorful and peaceful place that feels like your own. What’s not to love?

What makes this property unique

The ArtHouse began as an empty industrial warehouse with a concrete floor and was transformed into a colorful 3BR/2BA vacation home filled with imagination, craftsmanship, and personality.

Nearly everything tells a story. Local artisans created the custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets, the red cedar and epoxy island, the vibrant Spread Love graffiti wall, and the outdoor St. Augustine mural. You’ll also discover stained-glass doors, handcrafted beds and headboards, a VW-inspired bed, bold artwork, industrial details, and unexpected touches around every corner.

Outside, the private Bamboo Garden features café lights, colorful bottle-cap details, games, a picnic table, and an outdoor shower.

The ArtHouse is funky, artistic, industrial, and hippie-chic, but it is also warm, comfortable, and designed for spending time together. It is not simply a vacation rental. It is an experience you’ll remember long after you leave.
