Beautiful house

The house is beautiful and we were able to relax as a family together. The porch is amazing and really adds to the stay. Martha truly loves the house and it shows with the upkeep and gardening. Located in central Beach Haven. Walkable to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. I didn’t want to leave! I can’t wait to return.

An enchanted coastal stay

Has a lovely time staying in this cute apartment with its Victorian coastal charm. Martha was a terrific communicator and went above and beyond providing essentials (paper towels, hand and dish soap, plenty of trash bags) that many other locations might leave to the guest to figure out. The location can't be beat -- a two minute walk to the beach while also being walkable to all of Beach Haven's restaurants and attractions. As an urban family, we appreciated not having to use our car! We also loved the side yard (a LBI rarity!) and the baby bunnies that accompanied it. A truly excellent getaway spot.

Superb Stay

It's one of those places where it's even better than the photos! We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was spacious, super clean, and decorated perfectly. There are so many wonderful things to write this apartment: the gorgeous and meticulous restoration of this late 1800s home; the outdoor shower was loved by all (two families with 4 kids total used it the entire visit although the interior showers are modern and beautiful!); kitchen superbly stocked with everything you could ever need; great wifi/tv/cable/etc; beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes, etc; lovely wrap-around porch with comfy furniture; grill and back outdoor dining area just for the 3 bedroom apartment; and so much more! Martha greeted us with a smile and plate of homemade choc-chip cookies. Although the house is shared by owners on top floor and rental apartment in back, each 'unit' is self contained and you feel like your staying in your own home. We would return in a heartbeat! Every detail was included in the design of this apartment and in supplying it with everything you need (and then some!). The house is on street with other beautiful Victorian homes - best part was sitting on porch, enjoying a cool drink, and playing games.

Perfect Location and Historic Ambiance

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house that had all the character of a lovingly maintained historic house, yet with ultramodern trappings for all the comfort you could ask for. The beautiful wrap around porch, eating meals outside, and spending so much time in the huge yard were like paradise for us and our three-year-old. The house was so close to the beach as well as local conveniences, truly the perfect location. The owner could not be kinder and we look forward to staying again.

Simply gorgeous

Each person's jaw dropped as they entered the property that we had rented for them to stay in during our wedding weekend. This space was impeccably decorated, clean as a whistle, and so so charming. Was the perfect place for our guests to call home for a few nights! We even sat on the front porch after our wedding and listened while my good friend played some tunes on his guitar while the beach breeze blew. It was magical.

Perfect weekend getaway

I cant say enough about how lovely Martha’s home is. The picture don’t do it justice. The best surprise was the deck steps could be closed off giving us a toddler safe play area outside that doubled the living area. We will be back!

Perfect!

This was our first time staying in Beach Haven (other times in Harvey Cedars) and I wish we had done it sooner. The house is in the perfect location. Close to the beach, food and shops. 7 of us stayed there- 3 adults and 4 kids. We all fit in the house nicely and had an amazing trip. We even had two other family members stay in the attached apartment so they would be close to us. The house was clean, spacious and the air conditioning worked very well. Martha, the owner was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful and responsive.

The house is beautiful and super clean and basically right across the street from the beach. She had a brand new unopened creamer and coffee for us. Has a beautiful wrap around porch. She even had homemade cookies for us and chocolates and there is a wine refrigerator. Was $275 a night, but after taxes and fees comes to $450 a night. Lovely though!

Fantastic place for our girls weekend!!

This was an amazing place to stay!! The house had everything we needed plus so much more. The front porch was our favorite hangout spot, and the location was within walking distance to everything in Beach Haven. The house is beautifully decorated, and so comfortable. The property owner, Martha, was truly a delight and so helpful. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Beach Haven. We hope to book this property again next year!!

Quaint, historic, updated, 8th house from the beach

Martha is absolutely amazing - best best best owner that I've worked with. She met us at the house on our first day and gave us a tour of her beautifully updated historic house. It is obvious that they spared to expense in updating the kitchen, which was wonderfully thought out. The house had every amenity we didn't think of - including coffee and Tide pods. Our only confusion was the exclusion of linens and towels - they are not provided if booked through VRBO. This was a surprise to us but Martha was more than accommodating and provided us with some when requested. The large, well-maintained yard beside the house was an added plus. The house had badminton rackets, soccer balls, baseballs, etc. for the kids to play with. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, ice cream, shopping, beach, etc. The ONLY negative we could come up with is that we could hear the people living above us as this is a first floor apartment. This did not cause for any concern except when the baby was sleeping, and only on one occasion. Overall, this house is spectacular and the owner and her family are wonderful to work with. I recommend this property wholeheartedly and may be back at some time in the future.

Adorable restored victorian apartment!

We needed overflow accomodations Easter weekend for our son and family. Found this 3 bedroom apartment which looked very attractive. We were not disappointed! Beautifully restored yet modern conveniences! Clean, neat with comfortable furnishings and attractive decor. Well stocked modern kitchen with lovely plate and glassware. Had everything we needed for their stay including cleaning supplies, kitchen spices and plastic wrap! New appliances including washer/dryer and wine fridge! No need to purchase any incidentals! Even potted spring flowers on porch at end of March! Perfect location within walking distance of all Beach Haven activities including beach at end of street. Martha, our host, was very accomodating and flexible with check in and check out. We will definitely return!

Heaven in LBI

From the moment we arrived at this home we knew it would be a perfect vacation. Martha met us and our grandkids at the door and showed us her lovely home. Everything we could have wanted or needed was made available from the beach gear to outdoor games for our at home evenings. Nestled 1.5 blocks from the beach and 1.5 blocks from several restaurants this was more than a perfect location. The home is 2 blocks from a local supermarket and 2 blocks from the park where on Wednesday nights there is a concert. Returning to the home, we spent evenings on the wrap around porch and the kids even had a picnic on the porch. 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with all the amenities worked out great. A well equipped kitchen was used often with young kids.There was an outdoor shower with lots of different soap items and the grandkids loved showering outside. Thank you Martha and Bob for making our stay so memorable. Our granddaughter even talked about her time at the beach at school last week. We look forward to spending next year at your home.

A highly satisfied renter

We have been going to this beautiful home for eight years. It was always lovely and well- maintained. Now, Martha and Bob have outdone themselves with an incredible renovation. The kitchen and 3 bathrooms are state-of-the-art. The furnishings are contemporary and very comfortable. You can sit on the large front porch and dream and relax. Just a short one block walk to beach. Very quiet. We love it there and highly recommend a reservation. Almost forgot, there is a wine cooler as well.

Perfect location! Immaculate rental 1 block to beach. Beautiful gardens & magnificent porch!

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautifully maintained home for our vacation this year. All I can say is it was the best vacation we've ever had! The location is perfect. We parked our cars on Saturday and didn't need them again until we left a week later. We were able to walk to everything: numerous restaurants, Fantasy Island, water park, mini golf, ice cream, church, etc. The beach is 1 block away. Martha and Bob thought of every detail to make our stay perfect, from beach chairs, bikes, even a little wagon to bring our granddaughter to the beach, BBQ grill, 2 outdoor dining areas. Six of us stayed in the house and we had more than enough room. Very comfortable furnishings and clean and neat inside. The wrap around porch was the perfect setting for morning coffee and evenings with the family. I can't say enough about this rental except that the pictures don't do it justice; it's more beautiful in person. Oh, and Martha's chocolate chip cookies upon arrival were such a welcoming touch!! Can't go wrong with this rental! We're returning for 2 weeks next year!!

My family has owned this home for over forty five years. My Mom purchased it because of its fabulous location- she wanted a place where she would not have to drive the kids around., close to the beach and downtown. My husband and I now own the home and have completely updated it. What my Mom saw in this charming home forty five years ago still holds true- the location can't be beat!
