Family Celebration

We loved staying at this property for our family celebration. It slept 17 people comfortably and had plenty of entertainment spaces. We utilized the the grill and black stone several times and the the ice machine was an unexpected bonus. Would stay here again

It was beautiful! Very family oriented!! Lots of fishing, swimming, and room for everyone. The kitchen was a good size so several people could share the cooking and cleaning!!

This property was the perfect trip for my mom’s birthday. It was clean, plenty of beds, nice amenities, and peaceful. We had a total of 16 women which included 3 girls. We had enough bathrooms to accommodate all of us. Pamela was very responsive with any questions we had. We had a great time.

Fun Family Getaway

We enjoyed staying at this property, and everyone had a great time. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the pool and swimming in the lake. There are a lot of stairs at this location which is not fully visible from the pictures. Parking also is tight if you are planning on having more than 3 cars. It was important to keep the lights off outside at night or it would definitely attract lots of insects on the doors, which was new to us since we were not familiar with the area. Overall, a great place for a family vacation!

Over Priced Dump

This was the most overpriced dump. The place was horrible, the bunkhouse had so many dead bugs in it you could have grown corn in the window seals and the base boards, the lamp in the kitchen had enough dusk on it was obvious that it had never been cleaned. The grill what a joke it was more like a firepit than a grill. Hell that thing had so much grease in it, it was a fire hazard. The outside furniture was like something from a yard sale. It was like you went a flea market and said give me the biggest pieces of junk you have and I will take it.

Bachelorette weekend

The accommodations were very nice. Kitchen fully stocked for entertaining 16+ guests. Pool deck was furnished with great seating. Dock was great for lounging and enjoying the lake. Driveway was a bit tricky and parking was very tight. Garage was available to use but was manual to open and close and very heavy. Unsure if it was the area or time of year but the bugs made it impossible to enjoy any time outside in the evening. The entryways and doors could use a deep cleaning as they were filled with dead bugs and spider webs. Communication with the rental management company was easy and they tried to accommodate our issues the best they could.

Thank you so much for sharing on your experience. We love the pool deck and lake access - perfect for large groups. We did discuss the bugs several times during the stay and we appreciate the open communication. Maintenance did service the proeprty three times during the stay to assist in resolving the concern. The full property gets professionally for bugs and had been treated within a week of your stay. Unfortunately with the deck windows and lights on at night; the sliding glass door areas frequently attract bugs and bug debris. Maintenance did evaluate the exterior lighting which was adequate for pest control; but the interior lights will still attract if on in the evenings. I hope you will consider staying again in the future. Outside pests are worst toward the end of summer with the higher heat levels / humidity. Possibly a June or early July trip might be a better fit.

Clean, fun, but not for 26 people

The property was clean and well maintained. The property manager was very responsive and the online property guide they send is very thorough and helpful. The pool and dock were very nice and clean. They also have beach towels for everyone staying, a lily pad to play on for the lake, kayaks, fishing poles, and basics provided in the kitchen. The listing is misleading in listing “sleeps 26” and “5 bedrooms.” The game room with bunk beds is over the garage is not connected to the house. You have to go outside (near the road) to go upstairs to get into the room. There is not a bathroom or running water which makes it difficult for kids to sleep over there alone. This “bedroom” accounts for about 12 of the beds in the house. Also, while we were there, they fixed a valve for water pressure and responded immediately to our concerns. However, we were also told that we can’t run all the showers at the same time if we wanted to maintain a steady stream of water (or else it would intermittently turn to just drips of water). We figured out how many showers/baths run simultaneously through trial and error. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but when booking for a big family (8 adults and 14 kids ages 2-16), a more thorough description of the sleeping arrangements would have likely changed our plans.
