About this property

Gorgeous Riverfront Location

Get out of your vehicle and be overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the Big Thompson River directly behind your 2 bedroom cabin. Introduce your loved ones to the pleasures and wonders of the great outdoors as your parents once did for you. This little gem has been completely decorated to take advantage of the gorgeous location just outside your front door. Fish, just outside your doorstep for that Majestic river trout calling your name. Swing on the bench inside your fully enclosed front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee over the bright morning glow or sip wine in the evening to the soft glow of the sunset and the sounds of the Big Thompson River a few feet away. Make WeFour your new home for your amazing Rocky Mountain experience.

Located approximately 5 minutes to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park, Dun Workin is part of 13 cabins at Idlewild by the River that were the original workforce housing for the workers that built the infrastructure for the National Park. Be part of Rocky Mountain history and lore when you call this cabin your base camp for your Rocky Mountain Adventures.

We believe in the “everything included” model for your stay with us. Everything from linens, toiletries, spices and your own propane BBQ to make your stay enjoyable. Enjoy Wifi, smart TVs, and a Keurig Coffee maker. There is a community hot tub and a large shoreline for fly fishing or river recreation.

This is a new listing for us but book with confidence as we offer our love it or money-back guarantee. If upon check-in you do not like the cabin for any reason or feel that anything was misrepresented in the listing, we will give you a full refund with no questions asked. This is not a 5-star hotel room. If you are looking for that, we recommend looking at the Stanley Hotel. This is a 5-star experience with the great outdoors in an imperfectly perfect cabin.

We also own the neighboring property called River Spruce so feel free to see our reviews there. We hope you will love this gorgeous classic mountain cabin.

This little cabin on the river is so darling! The hammock was exceptional for viewing the stars. The kitchen was easy to cook in & the beds were cozy. It’s an amazing location to RMNP! The shower was quite alarming with mildew but worked OK if you wore flip flops. It’s still better than a campground shower!

Big Thompson :))))

We had the most enjoyable stay minutes away from RMNP. The river feet outside the back door was so very relaxing. We will be back for sure. Thanks!!

Cabin was run down, ripped screens, rotten wood steps.Shower was tiny and the top of the drain was clogged with hair that hadn’t been cleaned up. No soap or body wash .Overpriced by a substantial sum.Ghosted when I requested a refund as we checked out after 1 night.Outside communal area looked very nice..
