Welcome to Maple Lane Homestead! Updated farmhouse located outside Sugarcreek, Ohio in a beautiful country setting Holmes County. Conveniently located 5 min from shops and restaurants in Baltic including East Main Kitchen and Leaf & Linen. Easy 10 min drive to Dutch Valley, Der Dutchman, Walnut Creek Cheese. Also within 15 minutes of Berlin shops and restaurants. We look forward to hosting you and your family for an overnight stay. Please reach out for information on pricing for events!
The space
This renovated farmhouse is the where we (Marilyn and Maureen) grew up along with our parents and 5 other siblings. We have loved the process of updating this place we and are excited to host you! The house is located in Sugarcreek, Ohio known for its rural Amish community and country landscapes.

Traveling with 14 widows ages 60 to 95, met all our needs. We had a great 2 night stay. Walk in showers on ground level is the only thing that could improve this property. Love it all.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is beautiful. It was close to everything we wanted to do.We loved watching the foals run and play and my grandson loved the cows. Making smores over the fire pit in the evening was a perfect way to end our day.

Excellent space for our retreat

Our Women’s Ministry booked this home for a retreat. There was plenty of space for each of us to have our devotions. I was so thankful for the peace we felt as we walked into the home. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a peaceful home away from home.

The farm house is very beautiful & the location is perfect to do everything you would want to do in Amish Country. The house is clean. It is decorated to make you feel right at home. We had a great girl’s night! Plenty of room & stocked well with everything you need! Would definitely stay here again!

The host was very accommodating and always got back to us when we asked a question. The heating was very hard to control, the water smell was bad. That is something that should be put in the description so people know ahead of time. The main floor was ok for all of us to be together. The upstairs bedrooms were just ok. The house was clean which is important to us. Wish there were large trash cans outside for the trash. We did Thanksgiving there so we had alot of trash. Felt bad for that. The most important part was being together with family and having a great time. Thank you!

This rental was perfect for our girls weekend. There is plenty of space including four bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom on the first floor. Along with one full bathroom upstairs and one on the first floor. The house is warm and inviting. It is nicely decorated and most importantly, very clean. The kitchen and baths are well stocked. The living room is comfortable with plenty of seating with an open concept thru the dining area into the kitchen. It's located on a main road, but the road noise was very minimal and did not disturb anyone's sleep. The home owner was gracious and responsive. They even provided some yummy cookies. I would definitely stay again!

Our group thought your home was very spacious with tasteful decor and wonderful views. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were great. Really appreciated the updated bathrooms. There were relaxing outdoor areas. Wish it had been a bit warmer outside to take better advantage of it. The property was clean and well maintained. We look forward to returning.

The home itself was beautiful. Lots of space with a gorgeous kitchen. We did not have enough cook top supplies and would have brought our own if we had known. We needed additional pans for cooking dinner and breakfast. Plenty of dishes. We did have to wash silverware for breakfast, which was fine. The AC was not working so where the first floor was comfortable the second floor was very warm for sleeping. The windows could not be opened due to no screens inside of them. I did reach out to the Host and she did respond and eventually did have one of the owners come to check out the AC, which he let us know was not repairable at the time. He was unaware that the windows did not have screens inside of them. He was apologetic. No other help was given though and we did have a very warm night with restless sleeping for some. We did enjoy our stay otherwise though and the home is very large for a big group with beautiful surroundings. I would have appreciated hearing from the owners after our stay. I did reach out again to the host and she said she did let the owners know of our concerns, but never heard back from them. The stairwell is quite steep for those with older folks or just people with any leg/feet issues. There is a very large bedroom on the first floor and addition sleeping there as well if that helps.Overall was a beautiful home and we did enjoy our stay with our church ladies. Having a fan or being able to open the windows would have improved our stay.Thank yo

Beautiful Property

We came with a group of 13 on this trip. The house is like a remodeled farmhouse, very spacious on the first floor. Nicely decorated and very clean. There were plenty of bath towels, soaps, kitchen supplies, etc. The stairs to go to the second floor are pretty steep, but once upstairs, there are four bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. There are no tv's in the rooms (just to make you aware). The bedroom with the king bed is attached to the bathroom. (so you'll be able to hear all of the bathroom traffic) Downstairs is a huge living room with a sectional, couch, couple of chairs and a huge tv. The dining room is big and seats 6-8 people. There are small sitting areas around the house with extra chairs. The kitchen has nice appliances with plenty of cooking utensils. There wasn't a whole lot of leftover spices, foods like some places we've stayed. (There was salt/pepper, and a couple other random spices). There is a coffee machine with coffee/creamer provided. The outside of the house is very well kept, very attractive. There is adequate parking space as well. Communication with the host was good. She was very responsive to questions and quick to answer. We really enjoyed this home and would like to return some time in the future.
