The hot tub functioned well and the location was nice (close to several trail heads) and secure (property was behind a coded gate).

Super cute property. Great for a secluded couples weekend. The hot tub was great, so was big yard with river access. Very close to several quick and easy hikes. Can’t wait to come back!
Well, did I eat some humble pie this weekend. They let us no there wasn't any hot water and then my boys discovered that there wasn't a tv at the cable. For 27 seconds I was ungrateful but decided this was a sign from the Lord and to disconnect and recharged. That's exactly what we did. It was so peaceful especially at night. Coffee in the morning with the river right there was a site to see. If you need to disconnect and recharge this is the place for you! Thanks so much for hosting us!

The cabin was well equipped, and in a safe gated area. We enjoyed our home base and packed lunches for kayaking and hiking by day. It was nice to have a gas grill to prepare meals at night. Unfortunately, the red river was too low to kayak because it ran right through the property

Thank you for the 10/10 review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin and felt comfortable in the gated community. It sounds like you made the most of your stay with hiking and kayaking adventures — even if the river levels didn’t cooperate this time. We hope to host you again when the Red River is flowing strong. Welcome back to any of our RRG Getaways properties anytime!

A nice quiet, cute, clean cabin in the woods. We saw deer and lots of turkey on the property. The weather was chilly so we really got to enjoy the hot tub! Loved the privacy of the location.
This place is right in red river gorge, I loved it! This is the best place to stay if you want to hike, relax and be away from modern life. Out of all the places at RRG this is the cheapest and also provides everything you need.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re very sorry for the issue you encountered — our pest control team has since treated the property and confirmed the problem has been fully resolved.
I stayed here to get away and do taxes. I was able to prepare meals, use the Internet, and even visit Natural Bridge. It was a lovely stay. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

If you have kids or a dog the yard is perfect! Very secluded, awesome fire pit and even a tire swing! Close to many trail heads in Daniel Boone National Forest and not a very long drive to National Bridge State Park!
The cabin was very nice. Lots of games to play were available. There is a nice river to look at. But we all wished they would have cut the weeds down to see it better. Unfortunately, I got poison oak climbing down to the river, so stay out of the weeds! The hot tub was very nice, and we enjoyed using the fire pit

Hey Shelly, Thanks so much for the wonderful review! So sorry to hear that happened to you. Definitely have to be cautious when summer is in full affect. Welcome back to any of our RRG Getaway cabins anytime!
Loved seeing the deer at the river in the mornings while sitting on the porch drinking coffee! Great place to unwind. Hot tub was a plus. Thanks for everything!
My partner and I came here for our anniversary celebration. We loved the rustic nature of the cabin! It was very enjoyable to spend the evenings cooking our own meals and sitting by the campfire. We did see a little mouse friend in the kitchen, but we just washed all dishes before using them and he left us alone. The owner was great with responding to messages too!

This cabin was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! It was the peace and relaxation that we desired for our anniversary getaway! The hot tub was a hit for sure on the cool
Fall evening and early morning coffee💕 From the hot tub, we had the perfect view when the Bald Eagle flew in and landed in the tree by the river. Hope to visit again. Thank you for sharing a little piece of your heaven!!

The location was great...very close to amazing trails, and not far from the town of Slade! Hosts were very responsive to texts and quick to resolve anything we needed.Comfy beds, nice hot tub.The one thing I will say was a con for us was the small bathroom. We are tall and had to side sit the toilet to be able to use it. Shower was also harder to move around in. There was also mold forming on air vents and surrounding ceiling, which I told host about and they said they would resolve.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re really glad you enjoyed the location, the hot tub, and the comfy beds—and we appreciate you mentioning how responsive our team was during your stay.
We totally understand how the bathroom setup may have been a bit tight, especially for taller guests, and we appreciate you bringing that to our attention. And thank you again for letting us know about the vents—we’ve already scheduled a deep clean to address the issue.
Your honesty helps us continue to improve, and we’d love to host you again in the future!
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location is farther down the road than the VRBO site shows. It worked well for us. Two of the days we hiked right near the cabin. It takes about a half hour in either direction to get to Slade. We loved relaxing back at the cabin after our adventures. It was very private and a great property. We didn't realize when we booked that there is no TV. We had technology with us so it worked out fine.
