We greatly enjoyed our time at Jamaica Beach. Everything about the home was beautiful. It was the most well stocked home we have ever stayed in. Everything was nice and clean. So much attention to detail! The pool was perfect and so was the fishing. We will definitely be back!

Great place to vacation!

We really enjoyed our time at Sea Turtle Sanctuary and Kim was a wonderful host. The home was beautiful, clean, and well kept and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Great place!

Kim was great to work with and responded quickly when contacted. The house is beautiful and perfect for our family vacation. The kids loved the heated pool and my husband fished right off the dock!

This house has everything anyone traveling to Galveston would ever need for a fun-filled family vacation. Everything was nice and clean. We had no issues using any of the appliances or other amenities. All of the beach and water supplies were absolutely perfect to have to enjoy no matter if we were in the channel, the pool, or beach. All the technology was top-notch. And the extra stuff like the karaoke machine, the lily pad, the paddle board, kitchen appliances that you don't normally see, was just awesome. They even have a highchair if you have a little one. The big balconies made for wonderful lounging and watching the sunset. And the fishing!!!! The boys had a wonderful time doing that. Hands down one of the best stays I've ever had in Galveston!

Amazing home/great pool/all the amenities

This is a very well thought out home - both layout wise, quality interior finishes and host has it fully stocked. Very clean, host was very responsive and could tell really wanted us to enjoy the home. The pool is a very large size for a bay house and hot tub was major plus. Great outdoor games for kids and adults and large outdoor flat screen as well. I would highly recommend this home! We will be back!

Great Property

Had a great time with family. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room with great sleeping arrangments for everyone. We caught a few nice trout right off the back porch. And the pool was awesome. The owner, Kim, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Everything,including the cookware, looked brand new. When we were about to leave, I normally make one last trip through the house to make sure we didn't leave anything but I didn't do it this time. We ended up leaving my cpap machine, and my SIL left his wedding ring on the bedside table. Kim has the cleaning crew pack and ship everything back to us within a few days. We'd definitely rent this house again. Thanks Kim.

A True Sanctuary!!

I’ve used VRBO many times over the years and learned that the properties usually don’t quite live up to the hype. Not this time…this property exceeded our expectations!!!! Its newer construction is well thought out. Pride in ownership is on display everywhere. The amenities kept the kids and adults busy. The pool is perfect! Oh..,the beds, linens and pillows are outstanding. (I mean, what good is a place to relax at if you don’t get a good nights sleep???). Kim, the owner/manager is by far THE BEST, I’ve worked with. Her response is immediate and she is so cheerful. She makes you feel welcome from the minute you walk in. Also, there is a convenience store within walking distance and a good local grocery store a few minutes away by car. All this adds up to an exceptional experience. I’d give it 10 stars if they were available. Thank you Kim, we’ll be back!! The Johnson Family

Great Family Retreat and Location

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here and it was everything the listing described. I would start first with an awesome owner who answered every question we had quickly and offered up great local knowledge. We implemented ALL of her suggestions! The layout of the house and the variety of sleeping arrangements, make this a perfect house for a family get together. The close proximity to the beach and the beautiful pool/jacuzzi, put this rental over the top. An additional feature, the boat dock, kept the kids busy fishing and was the perfect pickup point for our fishing charter ( with Captain Steven Grimm ) on nearby West Bay. My wife and I travel the world as Airline crew, and we could not give a higher rating to any rental then this one. Book here and you won’t be sorry!

Galveston Family Vacation

The Sea Turtle Sanctuary at Jamaica Beach in Galveston was the perfect property for our yearly family trip to the Island. This home not only had all of the amenities we were looking for, but had the most generous and responsive host we have ever had. When we arrived, the door code didn’t work (probably due to operator error!) But, the host, responded immediately and we were good to go in a matter of minutes with no further issues. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous and spacious kitchen with the gas stove and all of the accompanying cooking equipment. We all agreed that the kitchen sink and faucet was something we wished for in our own homes! The gas grill on the patio downstairs was a definite plus for creating our favorite burgers. The only issue with our entire stay was that the propane tank was empty. But, because of the location of the property and its proximity to goods and services, the issue was easily resolved. The pool and hot tub were in pristine condition, much appreciated and well used in the heat of the summer. Having the big screen TV outdoors on the patio allowed us to keep up with the progress of the USA teams in the 2024 Olympic Games while we swam or relaxed in the pool or on the patio. The owner has stocked the home with more than everything you need to make your stay as comfortable and homelike as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Turtle Sanctuary and will recommend it to all of our friends and associates!

Fantastic!

First, Kim is such an AMAZING host! Communication is great and she strives for you to enjoy your time in her home. The house? Incredible! We love Jamaica Beach and the fact that its just far enough away from the main tourist areas, yet still close to enjoy any of those places you may want. The house is very clean and well stocked. Tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, a few spices, storage containers, beach towels, beach chairs and toys, pool floats, life jackets, seriously so much provided for you to use.The pool and hot tub are great! We definitely took advantage of both. We also used the grill every night. One of our favorite things to do was watch the jellyfish float up in the evenings. You could see them well thanks to the green lights in the water.You will not be disappointed with your stay here!

I have visited Galveston my whole life and it is a dream to have a home here. I love the water. It is so relaxing and healing. I have endured a tragedy in my life as I lost my only child in 2022. This house was my dream to enjoy with my son, although he is no longer on earth, I feel close to him when I am here as he loved Galveston and was looking forward to enjoying this house as much if not more than I was.

Now I enjoy it with my family and friends and my son's friends and I am choosing to share it with others. I hope my guests love and enjoy this house as much as I do.

I named the house Sea Turtle Sanctuary becuase I LOVE Sea Turtles and when I am here this home truly is my sanctuary.

This property is perfect for families and friend groups! With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms everyone will be comfortable! Being on the water is so nice and relaxing. Plenty of outdoor entertaining space for cooking out, fishing, swimming and just enjoying the soothing salty air. Located just 15 minutes from all of the action in Galveston. Restaurants nearby make this a great location to hang on the West End and not have to venture too far for anything!
