Beautiful property, walking distance to town, comfy beds, warm lighting, large spaces great for groups, well outfitted kitchen—would definitely recommend!

Plenty of rooms and bathrooms to host an extended family get together.... The kitchen was well stocked with dishes for cooking and plenty of seating capacity (indoors and outdoors) as well as multiple trash bins and dishwashers (important for big family meals). Parking was not an issue and there was space for the young children to run around and play. The house has six separate HVAC units which made it comfortable no matter which area you were occupying. Being close to town was a bonus.

Amazing home!

First, the pictures do not do this home justice. It is so beautiful, roomy, comfortable and well equipped for every thing you need (including ice and coffee!!). Communication with the host was easy and responsive. Check in was breeze. The beds were super comfortable. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time!

Strategy session

This was the perfect location for our executive strategy session. The house has an expansive kitchen, living and seating area. We only had 6 people but would have been comfortable in the common spaces with many more. The finishes and quality of the property are top notch.

Best Rental We Have Ever Stayed In!

We had a multigenerational stay and it was fantastic! The giant upstairs living space with built in beds for kids gave them their own space while still being able to spend time together. Everything was incredibly clean, well maintained, and communication could not have been better. Wonderful outdoor space where we could safely let the kids run around and play corn hole while we sat by the outdoor fire place. It was like staying in a hotel, but with the luxury of having it all to ourselves! Great location with being able to walk to downtown easily. I cannot recommend this property more!

Highlands Fairview House has been part of the Highlands vacation landscape since it was first built in 1910. It has served as a summer rooming house for vacationers and travelers serving legendary Sunday dinners, a Bed and Breakfast often hosting the travelling performers of the Highlands Playhouse and since 2016, a a large luxury vacations rental. We have worked hard to maintain the historic layout and charm while adding modern amenities and gathering spaces to suit our large group guests.
