Custom home built by the owner. Country setting in an orchard with Middlebury College just a five minute drive away. This is a quiet neighborhood surrounded by rural properties, operating farms and orchards. The house has 3 levels with the main living area on the 2nd floor. This is a great space for a relaxing getaway; an artists retreat or for a group of skiers, riders or hikers. Come back after a day of outdoor adventure to warm radiant heat under elm and tiled floors. Or cool off in the summer with air conditioning and fresh night air. Several architectural details created from local hardwoods. The 2nd level has a large private deck facing west for evening sunsets, bbq grilling and star gazing. This level includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area; one queen bedroom and a large bathroom/laundry. The shower is floor to ceiling travertine with built in bench. The upper loft is two spaces separated by a curved balcony. One end is for reading - with a work desk, monitor and printer. The other loft space has two full size beds tucked out of the way. Please note the steps to the loft are steep and not recommended for everyone. The first level entry has large built in cubbies and storage spaces for ski gear and backpacks. There's a private, queen sized bedroom plus it's own bathroom with walk in tiled shower. This is a great house to relax, read, write, paint or create. Noel's home was fabulous and was absolutely wonderful for our stay during the NESCAC Swimming Championships! It was well equipped, warm and cozy, freshly plowed, comfortable beds, adorable loft for the teens and super clean! Tons of towels, extra bedding if needed, enough supplies that we wanted for nothing. Communication with the owner was easy and fast and everything was as pictured. Adorable home nestled in the VT countryside! Loved our stay! Thank you Noel!
Noel is a great host. He is responsive and proactive. The house is beautiful and well care for. The architectural lines in the house add to the enjoyment of being there. One of the nicest vrbo's we've stayed in. We happened to be there during a blizzard and Noel plowed out the driveway several times that that the group could get out to ski. We highly recommend Noel's place.
We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in Noel’s beautiful home, and exploring the neighborhood…and watching the donkeys. It was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday.
We were in town for a ceremony at Middlebury college and this property was 5 minutes away. The house is beautiful and comfortable and was perfect for our needs. My kids loved seeing the donkeys next door! Excellent communication and went above and beyond by checking in with us a couple of times while we were there.
This is a wonderful property and was a perfect stay. Beautiful house in a beautiful and peaceful area that is really close to downtown Middlebury. House was clean and comfortable and we will hopefully be back to stay again!
The house is beautiful. Our family stayed here for Middlebury’s Feb Graduation. It is 5 minutes to the College. It was a great place for us to gather during the weekend.
This home was absolutely perfect for our small family vacation in and around Middlebury. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay in, on a quiet road very close to downtown Middlebury. It was a great jumping off point for hikes, lake swimming and getting around town.
The host was friendly and communicative and answered all questions in a timely fashion. This was a fantastic place to stay - we would absolutely come back.
Noel’s home is perfect for our family, and we’ve enjoyed returning again and again. It’s very clean and well-appointed, and the location can’t be beat! We’ve enjoyed local hikes in all seasons, and this time added in a short trip to Burlington to visit the ECHO science museum. Our young son loves the large front yard and also enjoys watching the neighbor donkeys from the windows. We’ve even spotted deer and a hawk! Thank you, Noel, for sharing this wonderful Vermont spot.
Beautiful home in the country. Well kept. A very well designed and functional house. Open design with eye pleasing angles and high ceilings. Our group loved it!
Two bedrooms had a full bath in the bedroom or across the hall. Spacious, clean, private, quiet, close to activities. Huge lot with apple trees. We picked some and had fried apples with cinnamon. We did not want to leave!
Noel is a super host. We loved the house and property. Stunning architectural details throughout.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated. I loved the lighting and architectural details. I highly recommend this property. Thank you Noel for a memorable weekend.
Exceeded our expectations! Best we've ever rented so far on Vrbo. Super clean. Craftsmanship quality home! Very unique layout. Did not realize it was three floors from the listing. Only minor detriment would be the steepness of the steps to the third floor loft area/bedroom. The deck in back was beautiful to sit outside in the evenings! Very nice kitchen. Well stocked with equipment and some basics like tea, flour, sugar, salt, oil spices etc.
The host Noel was very accommodating and great to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!
My friends and I had a wonderful week at this home. The location was perfect going to Cornwall for a class and Middlebury for meals and shopping. The home was very comfortable and had all the necessities. We loved the donkey’s next door. The loft was a little tricky to climb if you are older. I will definitely stay again.
Lovely home and property!! Lots of eel-thought detail inside the home. Kitchen was very well-stocked and there were plenty of towels and sheets. The house is surrounded by apple trees. Don’t hesitate to stay here!!
We had a great stay at the house. The house was very clean and just minutes to Middlebury. The third bedroom was a loft without a door which was fine but worth noting. Thanks for a great stay!
This VRBO looked great online and was just as great when we drove up. It was a newer building but very quaint looking. It is situated on about 5 acres in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall. The property evidently was an apple orchard at one time as there were many apple trees. There is a picturesque small farm next door with sheep and donkeys. The house was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped as well. There is a nice deck in the back for relaxing. It was in a great location just a few miles from Middlebury and a great location to start our driving tours each day into the Green Mountains. Would definitely return here.
This is an A+ property with an A+ owner and we had an A+ experience.
I can't say enough how great our Vrbo experience was. From first communications with the owner, to our stay, to check-out. The neighbors are pretty cute, too! I really hope we can go back sometime. Thank you!
We had the most wonderful stay in Cornwall. The house was immaculate and so spacious. The layout gave everyone their own space with the option to come together in the kitchen and sit at the stools at the island or at the long table by the large windows overlooking the fields and beautiful Cider Mill Road. We are checking our calendars already to see when we can go back!
