A great host and an amazing, relaxing place with all the amenities one could want to enjoy, BBQ, fire pit, Jacuzzi, quietness, open views, a very cute pond at close reach, games, wood fire stove with heat fan if wished (very cozy feel), extensive entertainment system, dog room with dog door very well thought, starry skies... A very enjoyable stay, thank you...
Perfect for a mountain getaway. Host was excellent with great communication. Location is very private but close enough to Julian for a quick trip into town. Highly recommended!

Glad you had a great time. Thank you for sharing your pictures!
We had an amazing time at this beautiful home. Can’t wait to come back again soon! The hosts are awesome and they have thought of every detail to make their guests feel welcome. 10/10!! Thank you!!
We very much enjoyed our time in this home! It is extremely well appointed, with comfortable furniture, beds, and a brand new kitchen and 1st floor bathroom. The kitchen has everything one would need to cook up a storm. The sunny dining area showcases the wonderful “wilderness” feel of the home. The huge porch, has tons of seating which works for small or large families, as well as a hot tub.We were there the week before Christmas, and there were outdoor lights and a very fun Christmas tree on a timer for our enjoyment. Our host was extremely responsive as well. We would love to spend more time here!

About the host
Hosted by Jason
I am a San Diego native who loves the outdoors. We both love exploring new areas and traveling the world. We bought this place as a future retirement home but for now we use it as a place to escape and unwind from our daily lives. I have enjoyed renting places in this area with my family, so when we had the opportunity to purchase a property with a pond, I couldn't resist.
Why they chose this property
Julian has a lot of history and the area is considered to be in the local "mountains" (for San Diego). It is not a far drive for us to be able to come out last minute and enjoy the setting and surroundings. This property feels secluded, and gives you the feeling you are way from it all, yet you are just a 7 minute drive from town, restaurants and shops. I like looking out into nature, from the house and deck and not staring into someone else's yard or seeing another house. A lot of homes in the the adjacent neighborhoods are closer to their neighbors. Great if you like neighbors, but not so much if you are looking for privacy and relaxation. We picked this neighborhood because of the feeling of seclusion and nature coming right up to the house and literally through the deck.
What makes this property unique
This property is a home. You feel that once you step inside. We have everything you would want, including a full and stocked kitchen. The pond in the springtime, walking the grounds during the day, the hot-tub in the evening, stargazing at night. There are only a handful of homes like this and even less that rent. We have a huge deck that extends right into the trees. The deck always has areas with shade and typically a cool breeze is felt throughout the year. We are working on trying to keep water in the pond year around so we can fish... but that is another chapter.
