We had a wonderful time here. The house was very clean, easy to settle into, and the host made communication simple and stress‑free. One thing we really enjoyed was winding down in the quiet neighborhood after a busy day!!it felt peaceful and safe, which made the whole experience even better. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and everything matched the listing perfectly. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we’d be happy to return.
Host was welcoming and very quick to respond. Home was cozy, sweet, plenty of room for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving. Kitchen upstairs, mini kitchen downstairs plenty of room for cold drinks. Sleeping space was more than adequate. Living area was open and welcoming as we could play games, eat food, we had a great time and will try to reserve again for next year. Plenty of parking. Close to shopping, groceries, everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood. Truly lovely experience.

We loved hosting JaNae! They left the home in good shape. We hope they book with My Short Term Home properties again!
This was our destination for our family’s annual spring break vacation. It was such a great time! The house had so much room for all of us and was so close to downtown that we never filled our cars up even once while there for a week - that is how close we were! We really got the most out of our stay in Boise. Here’s things we were able to do during our stay:We did the Boise Trolley tour (definitely recommend doing that your first day to get an idea of what else you want to see)The old Idaho State Penitentiary museum and tourWahzoo’s (we went on Wednesday because it’s 4 hours of unlimited rides for 35)Rode lime scooters along the greenbelt/naturewalk (so beautiful)Snow tubing at Gateway Parks Eagle Island was a blast! Wish we could’ve spent more time there but it wore the kids AND adults out. And the owners are such a sweet husband and wife!Shopped at Hyde Park (Fluff has the cutest handmade jewelry)Visited the Boise ZooThe old train depotToured the state capitalVisited the Co-Op natural grocery store Loved the nachos and brussel sprouts at 10 barrel brewingBrussels and burgers were yummy at Idaho Fry company The large pizza is huge at Front Door TaphouseQuick bbq was good at R&R All-in-all the experience was great and the house was perfect for our big family. It had everything we needed to enjoy meals and laughs together and if we ever visited again we’d definitely want to stay here! Would recommend 100 times over, thank you Jill & Team!
This a decent home. The upstairs looks like they had renovated in the last couple years and was very nice. This was not the case for the basement. The basement needs some love. the basement bathroom has mold growing and very small. It looks like the shower door broke and the put up a rod to replace it but the problem is that the toilet paper hold is right at the entrance and gets splattered with shower water. The carpet transition is loose and you really need to watch your step or you will step on the tack board. Simple things like replacing old carpet and touching up paint. are a couple things that needs to be addressed. The cleaning staff needs to retrained on making sure things are removed before the next group comes in. (We found weight loss pills and a bra and underwear)
This property was great for a big family weekend to celebrate a graduation. It’s a funky house full of suprises. It has tons of room, a well stocked kitchen, good beds, comfy furniture, lots of towels and it’s in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything.

Thanks for your awesome review, and we wish the graduate all the best in their future endeavors!
Myself, my 2 kids, and my brother stayed (the rest of our group couldn't make it last minute) There is plenty of space and the home is very kid/family friendly! Lot's of games, some kids books, a fun backyard placeplace, tree house, and tree swing (this was a big hit with the tiny humans), and the kids secret hide out inside the house was well loved!

Thank you for staying with My Short Term Home Kerri and for sharing your valuable feedback! I am glad to know you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome back anytime!
We recently stayed at this listing and while we appreciated the opportunity to rent the property, our experience was marred by some cleanliness and pest control issues. Upon arrival, we noticed significant dust and dirty floors, and the presence of bugs throughout the property was discomforting. It's disheartening, especially considering a cleaning fee was charged to previous occupants. We shared these concerns with the landlord in the hope that future guests can enjoy a more pleasant stay and to perhaps bring this to their attention as we understand that the host perhaps hired a third party company who did not do their job. We believe addressing these maintenance issues will greatly improve the overall experience for future renters.

We have already contacted our cleaning company to review their procedures and ensure that they are thoroughly cleaning all areas of the property. Additionally, we have scheduled an inspection with a pest control specialist to assess the situation and implement the necessary measures to eradicate any pests.
We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention, and we hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Grandma's House + Mice
Positives: It is a 50's house that is quirky, which we looked forward to and liked. Kitchen and upstairs bathroom had updates which were nice. The house was roomy with 5 bedrooms. There is lots of parking, and the street it was on was fine. It is in a little bit rougher part of town.
Negatives: We found mouse poop in various places including bedrooms and beds - and then the fat little mouse made an appearance in the kitchen! My kids were scared to sleep! We alerted the management who said "sorry" but did nothing else. We bought traps and were unsuccessful in catching it. The beds and bedding were old and felt used and unclean. I would highly recommend new clean comforters and pillows at the very least. The main areas were clean, yet I picked up garbage in the corners, and a rotten banana in the back of a cupboard. The kitchen did not have adequate dishcloths and hand towels. The basement bathroom needs a window covering - anyone standing outside could look right in.
It felt like staying at Grandma's house :) but is in desperate need of rodent control and bedding.
I'm sad to say I would not recommend it nor would I stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback Janie, I apologize about the incidents that occurred during your stay. Both cleaning and the rodent issues have been addressed, I do apologize for not taking care of this during your stay, but I was informed an hour after your checkout about the mouse. I try to always address issues like this one as quick as I can.
I however hope that you somewhat enjoyed your stay, my team and I hope you could give us another opportunity to host you!

We have 3 kids (with 1 out of the house), all of which we raised in this house. So this house very much feels like our home. Now we live in Eagle but we love to travel near and far with the family. We often stay in short term rentals and love to think of this home as a place where fellow travelers can come and relax with their families. Without our beloved guests, we would probably have to sell the kids' childhood home. For that reason and others, we are very grateful for your stay!
Why they chose this property
We bought this property to raise our kids in because we wanted to be close to the best schools in the valley.
What makes this property unique
There are few homes like this one with large spaces and five bedrooms. The secret hideout is popular with the kids!
