My stay on June 19th began wonderfully. Both Parker and Kathy were exceptionally communicative, and allowed me to arrive more than an hour early to the property to set up flowers and home-linens for my now finance. All amenities available were clearly communicated and explained, and well cleaned and prepared for our stay. After using the hot-tub after our arrival that evening around midnight, we returned to the main sleeping area to retire for the evening. After a few minutes, a foul stench was clearly in the air. Upon further investigation, the composting toilet (which was clearly explained, demonstrated, and understood), had suffered a leak at the base, which sent the sewage within the system to the floor of the bathroom. After identifying this safety hazard, myself and my new fiance decided to leave and return home. We packed our belongings at 2:30 am and returned home around 3:30 am. I called and texted Parker immediately, leaving a message informing him of this issue. To his credit, Parker texted back apologizing for the issue and promised a full refund of our stay. That was the last I heard from Parker. After attempting to reach him via text, VRBO messages, and calls throughout the week, the only luck I had in reaching him was from my partner's cell number, which he was not familiar with. He answered immediately and upon realizing with whom he was speaking, disputed the leak despite the video and photographic evidence we provided. He hung up without letting me speak.
