Welcome to Duck Creek Village at 8500 ft!
In winter, our cabins offer a serene escape, but preparation is key for a safe journey. Here's what you need to know:
Before you set off:
1. Get real-time road conditions and weather updates with Utah's UDot app and Wunderground's website (zip code 84762).
2. Plan your travel wisely and avoid winter storms.
Once snow arrives:
• Highway 14 may have snow, and our gravel roads will be snowy. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is required, with chains recommended.
• Snow removal is prioritized, but please keep in mind that we contract with snowplow companies who only plow after 6” or more of snow for driveways, and they will prioritize guests who check in or check out first, followed by groups who are mid stay.
• Power outages are rare, but if they occur, contact management and we will provide an update on the situation promptly.
Keep in mind:
• Nighttime arrivals may find limited services, so plan accordingly.
• While we're a small village, we're here to ensure your winter adventure is memorable and safe.
For a stress-free getaway, call us ahead to tailor your trip to perfection!

Family vacation
The cabin was very clean and quiet. Only issues we had was the heating of the cabin. They had 3 large piles of cut and dried firewood for the fireplace but stated guests not allowed to use. We spent over 100 dollars on firewood to heat the cabin as the heaters would not get it above 60 degrees and for the cost of the stay we will be staying with another host that offers firewood or a properly heated place especially with the younger children we have.

Great place! Had plenty of games and entertainment to keep everyone busy while we were there. Skiing and hiking not too far away. Would definitely recommend

Guys get away
We had a blast. It got cold and windy. So we had plenty of games at the cabin to relax and hang out.

Beautiful Cabin in a beautiful landscape
The cabin’s bones are great and there are so many things for a family with kids to utilize to entertain themselves and make memories. The couches and beds could benefit from an upgrade as they are well worn. We did find a missing remote under the couch. We were able to get a quick response from the property management to a few things, but one room’s overhead lights didn’t work and there was running warm water into a drain probably caused by a faulty valve. The water ran our entire stay. There were also a lot of expectations for cleaning when we were leaving. Taking our trash to the dumpsters, taking bedding off, moving the towels, cleaning out the fireplace, and the entire fridge, etc. that seemed atypical for paying an over $200 cleaning fee. We did complete all these, but when we arrived there were dirty towels in one bathroom, a vacuum left out and plugged in, dog feces left by previous renters. We did clean that up. In summary expectations of guests is high and the performance of the cleaners seems low. The management company did indicate that they were trying a new cleaning company and will change if their performance is below standard and were apologetic. Otherwise it is a great cabin and the owners seem very nice leaving a binder with helpful information and making sure there were so many things for kids and families to make great memories. in summary I would rent here again and I did give it 4 stars. A few tweaks and this rental would move to 5 stars.
