About this property

FLAMINGO COTTAGE sleeps 4 - ESCAPE THE COLD; OUR POOL IS HEATED!

The Flamingo Cottage is a studio unit that includes a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom area, a full kitchen, bathroom with a walk-in shower, living area with a sofa, TV, table with 4 chairs and some outdoor space in front of the unit with a table and two chairs. It can comfortably sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. The unit is air conditioned and WiFi service is available throughout the resort. Enjoy the communal outdoor pool and covered patio that has a gas grill, griddle and picnic area. We do have a laundry room for guests to use free of charge.

For those who would like to venture out to the beach, the unit comes with 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler and beach towels for your convenience.

Guest may request to have a dog, (1 dog of 40 pounds or less) accompany them on their vacation and will be required to sign and abide by a pet occupancy agreement as well as pay $75 in additional cleaning fees for the in-depth cleaning required after a dog has stayed in the unit. Guests that bring a dog that has not been pre-approved by management or do not follow resort rules will be asked to leave the resort and forfeit all payments.

Fishing adventures, bird watching, water sports or some down time relaxing in nature and the beauty of the most desired key in Florida. We’re twenty-five miles to Key West for dinner and nightlike or walk down the block to the local tiki bar, Tonio’s.

We have plenty of space for your boat and trailer. There is a boat ramp just down the block at Tonio's that can handle flat boats 21' or smaller and the boat ramps at Cudjoe Gardens Marina (477 Drost Ave.) and Little Torch Key (SR 4A & County Road) can handle larger boats for a minimal fee.

We’re located twenty-five miles from Key West for dinner and nightlife. Walk 2 minutes down the block to Tonio's Seafood Shack & Tiki Bar. Bahia Honda State Park, with its beautiful beaches, is a 15 minute drive from HIDDEN HAMMOCK RESORT. Our property is not on a waterfront and there are no public beaches in Summerland Key.

Guests are provided with the following amenities: a small bottle of dish soap, hand soap and a sponge, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper, a few laundry pods and hotel-size toiletries in the bathroom. This is to help our guests off to a good start. There are grocery and convenience stores in the areas for guests to purchase anything else that they may need.

My husband and I just spent a delightful week in the Flamingo Cottage at Hidden Hammock Resort. It is a quiet oasis off the highway on carefully tended but still rustic grounds . The cabin and grounds look exactly like the photo and are spotless. The heated pool was such a treat. We used it everyday. The location is great. There was a restaurant walkable from the resort, about 1/4 mile up the road, with good music and decent food, a first class restaurant a few miles up the road in one direction and several fun beach restaurants with live music a few miles up the road in the other direction. There was a great beach about 15 minutes away by car at Bahia Honda State Park. It was an easy drive to Key West.The owners are friendly, accommodating and responsive. We had a problem with the air conditioner and someone showed up to fix it within half an hour of our notifying them. It took them several trips to get it to work but they never gave up. They were apologetic about having to disturb us multiple times to get it to work and gave us a very generous gift certificate to the first class restaurant up the road to make it up to us. The only negatives I can think of. The iguana also seem to love the place The owners try hard to keep up with the iguana poop on the grounds. They have several methods of pest control in place but sly iguana seem to get around it. Also, the small studio unit we rented could use more hooks to hang clothes. Its a GEM!

Wonderful cottage

From the minute we arrived our host Hope was so helpful and accommodating. Our cottage was the perfect size for my husband and I. It has a full kitchen, nice soft bed, and the swimming was great to cool off after shopping, and the air conditioning was great. Hope helped us with many of the local places to eat and see. We already miss the cottage, and want to return!

Wonderful experience

Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. Whenever we had a question or request, Hope would respond right away, and she always seemed to have some sweets for us, which were a hit with the kids. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Heavenly Hidden Hammocks Resort
