This house was beautiful. It was very very clean and everything you needed was pretty much available. It has a beautiful little garden which was nice to retreat to after a long day. The rooms are all spacious, beds are super comfy and the kitchen is fully equipped.
Great spot for a large group. Good amount of space and beds. Everything was as nice as in pictures. Outdoor area was nice and private - no issues with neighbors or anything. Vince was communicative, check in/out was very easy. Good location close to downtown Oak Park and near the train station, easy to get into the city. Only downside is the proximity to the highway as it can get loud but nothing can be done about that. Overall, it was a great stay and I would recommend Vince’s house to any large group looking for a place near Chicago.

Our family home for 60th wedding anniversary celebration
Excellent house in great location. Lots of space for 16 friendly folks. Clean and well supplied with essentials e.g. soap, towels, paper towels, etc. Owner very responsive to queries. Kitchen well equipped. We had a good time!!
We hosted family and friends for my daughter’s graduation weekend. It could not have been better! There was plenty of space for everyone. Everyone had their own private area. The family rooms were big enough to accommodate everybody. Huge success

Great
We loved the house! It was not In walking distance to downtown which we thought it would be. But it was fully stocked with anything we needed for the house. If we learned the train system it might have been easier to get in and out of the city.
We came to Chicago to see another fantastic show at the Chicago Theatre and spent our free time enjoying the food, shopping, and adventures Chicago has to offer. We went to see Kevin Hart and took a couple of tours. We especially enjoyed the Donut Experience—even walking in downtown Chicago in frigid temps for 2 miles. We will be back!
Property is very nice. Lots of bedrooms and baths. Comfortably had 9, with easily more space for a few more. The house is extremely well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a holiday meal. Wide variety of cookware, dishes and utensils. Bags, soap, saran and aluminum foil. We had a Thanksgiving dinner for 12 and needed little beyond what is there.
Host was great. Quick reply to questions and ready to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
We would definitely stay again if next years plans bring us back to Chicago.
The home was spacious enough to accommodate our family of 10 (5 adults and 5 children), which we appreciated. However, there were several things we wish we had known before booking that I think are worth sharing for future guests. While the home had enough space for everyone, the living room furniture was limited, making it difficult for our family to sit together comfortably. Our biggest challenges was the location. The house beside the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290), the traffic noise and lights were very noticeable throughout the night. If you’re a light sleeper or traveling with young children, this is something to consider.Temperature control was another issue. The second floor became very hot at night, with fans providing very little relief, making sleeping uncomfortable. As far as cleanliness, the home was relatively clean on the surface, but there were some noticeable signs of wear that could use more attention. The basement carpet had large stains, and there were quite a few scuffs on the walls. The refrigerator also had a strong fish odor that transferred to the items we stored inside, which was unpleasant. One other concern was the dining room rug. All of the corners were curled upward, creating a tripping hazard. My toddler son tripped over it repeatedly during our stay. The garage door was also challenging to use, with no remote provided we had to manually hold the button down to close the door (holding until it was fully closed or it would re-open).
