Stayed with friends and family for a long weekend. The house is spacious and comfortable. The location is close to town but feels secluded — a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Leelanau County.
Great property, we rented both houses next to each other so everyone could have a little space when needed. Quick walk to town, or the water. We will be back.
Large, open, airy, comfortable house for two couples. Tons of windows. High ceilings. Open floor plan for living, dining, kitchen. Quiet location surrounded by prairie with songbirds and deer. Small public park on the bay is 1 block from the house. The center of Northport is a pleasant 3/4 mile walk away. The house is fairly well equipped. Bath towels, beach towels, throw blankets, pots and pans (although only two of each), dishes, flatware, cups, glasses and cooking utensils. Small microwave, drip coffee machine, toaster, waffle iron and blender. It should be noted that the kitchen has European-sized appliances. The refrigerator is smaller than a typical American model, as is the oven. The 5-burner gas cooktop is also a bit compact. There is a patio area with a Weber kettle grill, picnic table and fire pit with three chairs. The pictures in the listing are a bit confusing. Most of the images are of this house, but there are a few from a different, similar house. We have alerted the host and hopefully that will be corrected soon.We prefer cotton sheets although we're sure there are many who enjoy the silkiness of 100% rayon.All-in-all a very pleasant week at this property. We would certainly rent again if we return to this lovely corner of Michigan.Note: We had no cell service at the property, although the WiFi was strong so it did not become an issue.
The house is great. The owners where very nice. My only complaint was the apartment size refrigerator. We were having big dinner at another house for 85th bday and could not fit the cakes or much of anything else. Its fine if you are a small group and eating out.
We ended up moving properties because the heat wasn't working but the team was super quick in communication and had us in another space within 30mins. We were also offered to stay in the new space vs packing up and moving again which was great since we were in the area for work so was great we didn't have to move again. Would highly recommend the properties we stayed in as they both were great and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay in Michigan!
