It was perfect. We are already checking our schedule for next year so we can go ahead and schedule this same property and we have stayed in four different cabins in this development. This one, by far has been the best.

Hi Kathleen. Thanks for your 5 star review. I am always more than happy to accommodate early check ins and late check outs when possible - I would have been able to give you an 11:00 or later check out on the day of your departure if you would have asked since there was not anyone else checking in until the following day. If you choose to stay with us again, please reach out for any special requests and I will be happy to work with you however I can. Thanks again for choosing our cabin for your stay in Pigeon Forge.
Beautiful Cabin! The basement game room kept the kids busy all night. Perfect location as well, just minutes from anywhere you want to go. Hosts were very accommodating and super friendly. If you are looking for a cabin, this is it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had a great time! The cabin is close to everything fun to do. Everybody had their own room and bathroom. The kids loved the play area on the very bottom level. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Very relaxing and peaceful place! We already miss the cabin and can’t wait to come back.

Thank you for the great review, Greg. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and we'd love to have you back any time.
The check in process was easy and the cabin was very clean and as described. It was one of the only places that would allow a check in on Christmas day and just a 2 night stay. It was extremely accommodating and we really appreciated it. We had 12 people and it was plenty of room. Game room and hot tub were fun and theres a TV in every room.

This was our first time in Pigeon Forge, and we brought the entire family (all 7 of us.) We picked this cabin for space, and proximity to attractions. We had some positives but more negatives and I will list them below. 1- Our first negative was the very steep hill to get up to the cabin. We were not expecting that until info was sent after booking, and only a couple days prior to our arrival. It was massive. I would never stay here in the winter months as we were so nervous going up, and down this mountain of a hill. 2-None of the bed/bath doors "lock" & are easy to just open even when locked and button pushed in3- There is no privacy on the main level bedroom bathroom with a huge window peeking right into the shower/toilet area (blinds are hung however my husband tested it and you can see right inside.)4- The Hot Tub is very dirty, and smells like mold (mold is showing around the hot tub as well.) My kids only went in once as their hair, clothing, and bodies smelled like mildew for days. 5- Toaster had wires popping out and was a huge fire Hazard. Contacted owner, & she sent a brand new one to the house. 6-Main door lock to the cabin fell off completely to the floor. Contacted owner on this, and she told us maintenance was coming between 930-1030 that day. We waited, & they didn't come. We didn't feel comfortable leaving but had to. She called later to tell us the door was fine. It wasn't & maintenance went into our private rooms which was not needed. Husband Fixed!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! For future guests reading this, the driveway is clearly discussed in our listing before booking — it’s part of the charm of our incredibly popular Pigeon Forge neighborhood, where no one (even in the winter months) has ever had an issue reaching the cabin thanks to paved roads and our meticulous road crew that is a part of the neighborhood. You did, after all, choose a MOUNTAIN getaway — and while we can’t flatten the hills, we can promise guests that our amazing MOUNTAIN town make the neighborhood hills worth the climb! (For guests hoping to avoid hills entirely, we recommend… perhaps a beach vacation.)
All interior doors both close and lock, and we’ve verified that everything is working just as it should.
I was happy to rush over a brand-new toaster right away — I pride myself on amazing response times and top notch hospitality…. Which is why I have always had (and am certain I will continue to have) amazing reviews across all platforms after multiple years of hosting.
As for the hot tub, it is drained, sanitized, and refilled after every single guest stay, without exception. VRBO has documented, time stamped, photos of a drained, cleaned and sanitized hot tub (complete with new filters and chemicals) right before your family checked in. I’m confident it was in perfect order during your visit, but had you mentioned any concern at the time, my cleaning team would have been more than happy to check it immediately (just like we did with all of your other “issues”). We are, after all, in the business of hospitality.
Regarding the cabin door, there seems to be some confusion in your review. You mentioned my maintenance team never arrived — and in the same paragraph you noted that they DID show up. For clarity: they absolutely did show up and VRBO has received more time stamped photo evidence of their arrival. My team also confirmed the door was secure and they did not enter any private rooms. It sounds like your husband took on a little bonus DIY project, but rest assured, the cabin’s entry hardware is in perfect condition and the cabin is safe and secure, as it always has been. Of course we have to account for normal wear and tear caused by my hundreds of happy, satisfied guests. My team is detailed and meticulously takes care of all issues for me as they come up.
I wish you happy (and hopefully hill-free) travels next time!
Warm regards,
Heather

I live in Middle Tennessee with my husband and three daughters, and our mini golden doodle, Bodhi. We love spending time outside, whether we're swimming, hiking, mountain biking or just enjoying the fresh air. We love traveling and experiencing new adventures as a family. We purchased our little piece of heaven in the Smoky Mountains so we could always have a place to go with our family and share it with others!
Why they chose this property
Brookstone Village is the perfect neighborhood to be in while in the Smokies. The neighbors are amazing, and the whole neighborhood has a great community feel. It is close to all the best things to do in the Smokies, while still being far enough away from all the hustle and bustle.
As part of Brookstone Village, you're not just staying in a cabin—you're joining a community. Enjoy shared moments by the community pool, where you can cool off and connect with fellow travelers and locals. It's a chance to create connections and memories that extend beyond the borders of your charming cabin.
What makes this property unique
Honey Bear Lodge stands as more than just a cabin; it's an experience that promises to capture your heart and imagination. What sets our cabin apart is the seamless blend of comfort, adventure, and luxury that awaits you within its walls.

It's a space designed to create memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Honey Bear Lodge extends an invitation to the outdoors with not one, but two inviting patios. The lower level patio, screened in for your comfort, houses a soothing hot tub where you can melt your worries away and a hammock that beckons you to take leisurely moments suspended in nature's embrace. The upper patio is a true haven, featuring seating for relaxation and a gas grill for culinary explorations. The proximity to attractions such as Dollywood, The Island, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park adds to the convenience without compromising on serenity.
