Thanks for leaving such a great response and for leaving our cabin in such good condition Every season is so beautiful and so different Please come back and see what beauty each season has to offers here
Stayed when the temps dipped into the teens. It was icy but the hosts had ensured the drive was plowed and the heat was turned on long before we arrived, so when we finally pulled in, late in the day, it was cozy and warm. The bed was firm enough that my back was not aching in the morning.
A beautiful and comfortable base for our adventures in the Methow Valley. Sitting by the river in the evening after our day of mountain biking and golfing was a delight.

I have a soft spot for the methow valley so coming to stay here was a treat! A cute and modest cabin for an agreeable rate. Would happily come back here again! Really enjoyed the chickens even though they woke us up early :)

Thank you for choosing us. We hope to see you back anytime you miss Twisp Yiu are welcome
This cabin is cozy but adequate for what we needed. It was a bit of a surprise to see that the bathroom is not attached but rather in a separate building. The host provided some nice treats and items for breakfast which was great! We will return another time.
Loved it. We came back from the Twisp market feeling like boiled lobsters and getting in the river up to our necks felt heavenly. Had that belly laugh feeling. Worth every dollar just for that. Everything else was incidental. But Susan was really friendly to us, so I guess I should mention she’s a great host. She made a trip to town for propane even though we said we weren’t going to barbecue. We could have changed our minds!

I’m sorry the bathroom door was locked. I ve never came alone that issue before I found an extra key for the bathroom and assed it to the key which locks the room doorsI plan to check the bathroom door before guests arrive in the future and added a key to that door for guests in the future
A very quaint property, clean interior, comfy bed, mountains, and a beautiful river. I wish I had noted that the bathroom is not located in this guesthouse. While it was only steps away, it was raining while I was there - so the trip back and forth wasn't as nice as it could be. The bed was comfortable, and the room decor was lovely. I do have to say however that it was a location I just couldn't get comfortable in, I didn't feel safe there alone. For others this may not be an issue. Please note...the roaster begins the morning very, very early. And he is located very close to the room. I'm sure that many would find this property very relaxing. We can't all like the same things, and each guest allowed their own opinion...personally I won't likely stay at this location again.

Bathroom is separate, in another building. Listing says one bathroom, which one normally assumes to be part of the dwelling. The only mention of this is in one of about 24 pictures where an arrow points to the bathroom. About 30 feet from the cabin. No mention made in the listing. Plus landlord charged more than one days rent for cleaning and fees. She claims this was stated upfront, but if so, not obviously. On demand water heater for a sink in the cabin that I couldn’t get working. No instructions. Coffee beans but no grinder. Other than that, it was fine.
The add stated hot tub no hot tub no washer and dryer no bbq Host said we were a day early in which we were not host said cabin still dirty and would give us a extra day to stay the shower was disgustingly dirty found dead bugs in coffee cups steps to creek were in need of repair felt like they were constantly being watched then host stated that she had a new booking and wasnt going to give us the free day we stayed one night and left very disappointed drove 4-1/2 hours to get there want a refund I have pictures of add stating hot tub and other amenities in which she changed add next day

About the host
Hosted by Susan Karlsen
Hi My name is Susan Karlsen Im originally from the Northwest. I now live in the North Cascade Mountain Range. I grew up on skis My parents worked at Stevens Pass. We traveled and camped out in nature a lot which instilled a tremendous appreciation to nature. We live on Twisp River. It's teaming with an abundance of wildlife and four distinct seasons. There are no street light so it breathtaking to sit outdoors in the evening, listen to the crickets and watch the stars. Each season brings new adventures and wildlife to observe. If you love the great outdoors, outdoor activities or just need some tranquil peace and want to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and the river then you have come to the right place Enjoy
Why they chose this property
I chose this location because there are no close by neighbors but if you go for a walk or go into town I promise people are smiling at you waving to you. Its like going back in time where things were simple and people were friendly.
What makes this property unique
We have a surrounding view of mountains and trees and we are siting on Twisp River In the morning and evening you can look out and see deer drinking from it or watch the ducks, Canadian Geese, Turkeys Hawks and Eagles fly by.
