It took us a while to find the exact location. Do not feel our cars were safe, parked out in the area. You really should’ve warned us that there’s no elevator and how high the stairs were for us to get to the top. We had to take luggage in and we are in our 60s so it was very difficult. We saw roaches in the bathroom. And I woke up from sleeping in the king size bed with what I believe or spider bites. I had a total about six. and they drove me crazy itching for the first couple days on the cruise. And it was not clear what we were supposed to do with the trash. He said to take it out, but not where to throw it away? I’m certain you’re not expecting us to haul it in our car somewhere. We’re leaving on a cruise that morning. and finally every time I called the phone number to try to speak with someone because we were confused about some things no one ever answered.
Our family of 5 booked this rental for Easter weekend. The location downtown was nice but parking was tricky as there was limited street parking avaiable. We eventually found a parking spot about a block away and my husband was able to move the car closer to the rental late in the evening. The apartment is up a steep flight of stairs. Once we entered the apartment, is was just as pictured. The space is large and has all the items needed to prepare meals. It was extra nice that there were spices like salt, pepper and garlic available. When we arrived the rental had a terrible odor. We did purchase a room deodorizer at the grocery store because the smell was pretty strong. We opened the window in the living room and that helped. With the fans on and the window open for a few hours, the smell improved. As for the beds, I was very impressed with the mattress topper in the master bedroom. Very comfortable. Our kids also slept well in the bunks. We loved the look of the rental and it served as a perfect location for our family Easter. The location was quiet and felt safe. I would recommend to others traveling to Galveston.
Way more then i expected This loft offers a delightful experience with its tasteful decor. The numerous amenities enhance comfort and convenience. Every detail seems carefully considered for a luxurious stay. It provides a truly welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Guests are sure to appreciate the sophisticated ambiance.
The property was exactly as advertised! We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect location for us as it was a short walk to the cruise terminal!
Loved the historical aspect. Kids loved arcade games and bunk beds. Super spacious. Only issue was hearing lots of other people in apartments but just comes with the nature of loft life.
Lovely loft. However, recommend owner stock with some basics as without a car difficult on a Monday to find any place to buy cream or sugar for coffee. Have stayed in other vrbo's that are way better stocked. Also recommend that the corner ceiling in the bedroom be looked at for mold and leakage.. The the town.
The condo was very clean, nice, and aesthetic. It was very comfortable and had everything needed to enjoy the stay. Our family likes to take breaks and enjoy our room while on vacation, the nice tv’s and comfortable couch and room made that very enjoyable as well. A few downsides, but I wouldn’t say dealbreakers are that in order to get to the room you have a steep flight of stairs that were a bit difficult for my mother in law to get up and down. Parking was limited to the road out front, it wasn’t impossible to park, but the city signs make you think you need to move your vehicle. The checkin and checkout instructions seemed to be written for multiple properties and maybe didn’t pertain to the particular one we were staying in. Anywhere you stay there will be positives and negatives, but our overall experience was great.
This adorable loft looks just as pictured and is in a wonderful location with an easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping at "The Strand." If you are highly allergic to mold / mildew, be warned that there is a strong odor of it as soon as you enter the front door and you can visibly see it throughout the loft. I figure this is a common thing to deal with in a beach town and older building. Although we loved the loft & location, I couldn't stay here again because of the mold / mildew, due to my asthma. And even though the loft felt clean otherwise, there were several large urine stains from pets all over the master bedroom rug. :X
We stayed the one night before a cruise, and this place was perfect. It’s an older space that has been updated and has everything you need for an overnight stay to a week long stay.
What a great location for an overnight trip to celebrate our son’s 13th birthday with a few of his friends. Staying somewhere with character that’s a straight shot from Pleasure Puer and right on the strand was super convenient. The shower was hot, the AC was cold, the beds were comfortable, and the arcade games were a cherry on top.
Clean, quiet..great location downtown within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Kid friendly..would stay again
