Secluded mountain home on over 10 wooded acres, modern, WiFi and pet friendly!
Welcome to your piece of paradise! Located on over 10 wooded acres near the Grand Canyon of PA, the old town charm of Wellsboro, and hiking right outside your door on your private property or in local parks and forests. There is also amazing star gazing, stream and lake fishing, rafting and kayaking, hunting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and antiquing in the surrounding small towns. Bring your bikes, ATVs or UTVs and enjoy miles of uncrowded gravel roads. The home is very secluded with no loud road noise or neighbors nearby. We are centrally located between Wellsboro, Gaines and Westfield giving you easy access to great dining, shopping and small-town charm.
You may feel far from the city but you will have all of the modern comforts you are accustomed to including: High speed Wi-Fi, internet TVs in living room and bedrooms, heating and air conditioning, full kitchen, washer and dryer, land line phone, comfortable new furniture (reclining chair and loveseat) and beds, firepit with Adirondack chairs. In one bedroom there is a king bed, in the second bedroom there is one queen and a bunk bed, and in the living room is a pullout queen size sofa bed.
Without leaving the property, you can hike the 10 acres of wilderness to the seasonal creek bed. Make s’mores by the firepit while star gazing from some of the darkest skies on the east coast. Walk or ride on the private roads in the area. Located 2,150 feet above sea level and surrounded by serene trees, even on the hottest days in the cities, it stays cool at the home. At this altitude we also have beautiful mountain laurel in late June through July. If you like to play in the snow, being in north central PA we also get a good amount of the white stuff, and it stays on the ground for a while. There is even a snowmobile club about 15 minutes away.
There are activities for every season!
Centrally located near: PA Grand Canyon (Colton Point State Park and Leonard Harrison State Park) Pine Creek Trail Darling Run parking area (Biking, hiking, and fishing) Pine Creek Outfitters (Rafting, Kayaking, canoeing, and many other services) Historic Wellsboro Cherry Springs State Park (Dark Sky Park) Coudersport Ice Mine Tyoga Golf Course Beechwood Lake (Trout fishing, kayaking, and canoeing) Tioga State Forest Coudersport, PA Potter County
The gravel roads to the home are well maintained; however, they are only plowed after we receive about 3 inches of snow, so the road may get slippery, a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended in the winter.

Beautiful secluded property with all the basic amenities you would need and very clean. Loved that is was tucked away from everything and the fur babies loved it too. Enjoyed the dirt road drive to the house. The host were very thoughtful and had a card and bottle of wine on the table for our Anniversary. Highly recommend and will be staying again in the future.
Quiet, secluded, clean, modern building and amenities, great quality furniture, comfortable beds, great bathroom, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent sky views, wildlife. Nice grill and large fire pit. Spacious outdoor deck.
A great property- very clean. 15 min dirt road journey to property was the only issue we had. It was a great place to stay.

Most guests choose my secluded cabin—nestled on over 10 acres of wilderness—for its peaceful escape from town and crowds. Naturally, properties like this aren’t located near major roads or urban areas. If the cabin were on a busy road, you'd experience constant traffic and large trucks speeding by day and night.
Instead, my cabin is accessed via a quiet, township-maintained road that leads to a well-kept private lane. On most days, only a few cars pass through slowly, preserving the tranquility that many guests seek.
The exact address is provided immediately upon booking, allowing guests to map the location and decide if it suits their preferences. If someone prefers a more urban setting or proximity to major roads, I completely understand and there are many hotels in Wellsboro.
Wonderful stay for a peaceful and secluded getaway. Everything was neat and clean with little extras that made the visit very nice. Be prepared for unpaved roads and a dirty car after driving, but worth it!
Cozy getaway perfect for two couples or a family. Very clean. Nice pots/pans unlike a lot of places you rent. Very clean, nice puffy towels and great sheets. Highly recommend this place.
Working in local area and this place is wonderful! Off the beaten path but not too far. Very clean, well equipped and all the comforts of home minus my family! Would definitely stay again.
This is the second time that we have stayed at this place. We love it here. Really enjoyed the outdoor table and chairs on the deck!! Will definitely be back. They were nice enough to leave a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Fred was extremely responsive and was so easy to get into the house.
We had a great stay in Very Mary Acres. The house is super clean, modern and efficient. There is a lot to do around the PA Grand Canyon area. The host is responsive and friendly. We had a fun visit.
We had a nice stay at this home! The quiet area was especially relaxing. We enjoyed using the fire pit and watching the wildlife at and around the home.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Peaceful, very clean, and surrounded by nature, this provided an excellent opportunity for our family getaway. Host is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!!
When I booked, I didn't realize it was so far off the main road, only a few miles but a 15-minute drive. Very nice house, and comfortable bed king bed!
If you are looking for peace and solitude in a comfortable and clean setting, Very Mary Acres is the place! The long dirt road drive to get there is well worth it. The kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of clean towels and helpful instructions from the host. The mornings are lovely with the sun rising through the trees. We had a nice dinner at the cozy Log Cabin Inn, just 20 minutes from the house (reservations required). Had a wonderful, family weekend! Thank you!
Overall, the house is very nice, clean and well stocked with everything we needed when we weren't out hiking the Grand Canyon trails. Better stocked than most VRBO's we've stayed at in the past. The only issue we had was the dirt roads in and out were a little rougher than I expected. If we were to stay here again, I would probably plan on bringing more food with us to minimize the trips in and out.
Second stay at this wonderful place! All the amenities of home. Owners did a wonderful job on this place. Well water is soft and tastes great. Even the linen smells great. I keep noticing the small things about the places I stay at around here and they add up, making this my favorite.
