This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, tea, and and hot chocolate, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). The butterfly house is top notch in every way. Wayne and Bobby go above and beyond to stock the house with any and all amenities and little extras you could hope for. The house is beautifully decorated, the bed is comfortable and the location is quiet. Will definitely book again!

We love this place

This is our second trip to this wonderful place. We have booked at least three more trips as our home is being built in Leland.The place is clean, modern, close to all there is to do in Wilmington.Can't wait to go back next week.

We were extremely happy with our stay here! Impeccably clean, well decorated and appointed, great location on a quaint residential street but walkable to the river and shops and restaurants. Would hands down stay here again if we return!

Great little place. The check in packet is very thorough. The host provide lots of detail on the area and the apartment with recommendations for things to do a places to eat. The room is laid out well even though it’s small. Lots of convenient items in the room which the hosts explain in the welcome packet. Very pet friendly and very clean. Would recommend and would stay again.

perfect stay in great location!

my teen daughter & i traveled for a mother/daughter trip with a friend and her daughter and we loved our stay here! the carriage house was the perfect size and located in walking distance to downtown. we enjoyed walks checking out the historic homes in the neighborhood and never felt unsafe. biggest perk: well-stocked amenities like toilet paper, not just one roll that runs out mid-trip :) thanks for being fantastic hosts, would definitely stay again!

My husband and I loved staying here! The place is immaculate and lovely. We’ve never stayed at a VRBO that was so thoughtfully appointed and configured as a guest house for both humans and dogs. Great Hideaway

We had a great 4-night stay at Butterfly Hideaway. The neighborhood is very quiet but close to restaurants, stores, the riverfront and historical sites. We found this place perfect for us and our little dog. Would stay again if we’re in Wilmington again.

Amazing gem a stones throw away from the Historic District

Had a wonderful four-nite time stay at the carriage house run by Wayne and Bobby. They thought of every little detail to make our stay worry free. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds extremely comfortable, and there were even toiletries in case we forgot something as well as bones and doggie bags for our pups.

We were attracted by the small town charm of Wilmington's historic district that reminds us of our Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington without the congestion and traffic! History around every corner coupled with great restaurants, museums, historic homes, the Riverwalk, theaters, and concerns at Live Oak Pavilion - all within walking distance!

Tastefully decorated with premium bedding and all the conveniences of home. We've tried to include everything to make your stay more enjoyable. Plus, dog-friendly!
