This place is amazing! The perfect getaway near the coast. Everything has a rustic handmade charm and the place is well kept. Paul was awesome and showed us everything when we got there and is nearby if you need anything. The pond has great fishing!!! Caught 3 bass(one was a good 4lbs!), a few shiners, some panfish and also met the resident alligator!(don’t worry, he’s a little guy and doesn’t bother you if your nice to him) The AC and heat worked great, the house was comfortable and functional for our needs. Cellular reception is not very good out the and the WiFi is spotty in some rooms but it makes for a separation from regular life. Overall, this place is one of the best I’ve been to in this area and I hope to return someday.
Great cabin with all the stuff you would need for a great stay. The huge screened in porch with the big screen tv and the fire pit on the lake was an extra special treat. Thank you Chuck and Deb for a wonderful stay. We’ll see you soon!
Really nice cabin and set up for bringing a boat. Close to 2 boat ramps and town you need not to travel more than about 8 miles to see and do everything Georgetown has to offer. Very quiet and peaceful area .
We absolutely love this property! This is our second stay and we'll be back. Clean. Great location. Quiet. Well equipped. We can't say enough. Our only wish is that we could do 2 night stays. This isn't a deal breaker, but perhaps it keeps out the rifraff. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back!

Thank you so much for the great review! We enjoyed having you come back and hope you do so again. Maybe we can work something out sometime on the 2-day stay. Thanks Chuck and Deb
We've stayed here multiple times (and have our next stay booked as well). This is a perfect place for a couple, 2 couples, or a small family. There is a spot to park a boat and trailer, as well as electrical and hose hook up outside (to clean off the fishing equipment when you get back off the water). There is a firepit (never used it, but it is there), a pond (bass fishing), 2 bedrooms (both with ensuites, both upstairs), and a small - I'll call it sleeping room/water closet on the main floor. There is a screened back porch with fan and tv. Paul the next door neighbour and caretaker is always over to greet and familiarize guests with the home. The kitchen is fully equipped. Gas stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave. There is 1 bar table, an island (with stools) and a kitchen table (seats 4). The front bedroom upstairs has an outdoor porch area. There is even a washer/dryer if you need to clean some clothes up when there. The only downfall to this property (which cannot be controlled) is bugs. Mosquitos during that season will pick you up and carry you away, so bring bug spray! We've had a great time every stay. We love it! In fact if we could we'd buy it, lol. If you want really close amenities and like city/town living - this isn't the place for you. If you love quiet, peaceful and relaxing - this is #1.
Very cute cabin , well stocked with everything that is needed. Close to Georgetown and the beach. Would come back next time we are close.

Thank you very much for your kind words about the cabin. The water pressure problem turned out to be a cracked pipe in the well. We certainly hope you do come back
The manager met us and gave us a tour. All is as advertised. The cabin is well done and comfortable. My wife and I were down for three days of fishing at Winyah Bay and Bulls Bay. The house is less than 3 miles from the South Island Ferry boat ramp for Winyah Bay and about 30 minutes from the Buck Hall ramp for Bulls Bay. The property is large and has plenty of room for my 20' bay boat. The shed roof cover on the side has great lighting and is very nice for keeping the boat and gear out of the weather. There is a receptacle for power and two hose bibs for washing down gear. Overall this is a great place for a visit to fish the area. I even caught a 3 pound bass in the pond while waiting for the coffee to brew.

Clean, comfortable cabin. Owner very friendly and knowledgeable about local fishing. Convenient and peaceful neighborhood. Two adults and two teenagers stayed for 3 nights. Fished the local rivers. Had everything we needed.

We loved staying at Deb and Chuck’s cabin. It was adorable and exactly as described. The area was so peaceful and quiet. It was close to Georgetown and everything we needed to do. Deb and Chuck were wonderful to communicate with and were extremely helpful if I had any questions. We will definitely stay there again when in Georgetown.

Thank you for your fantastic review! We hope that you have a chance to visit again. It was a pleasure having you.
Chuck met us when we checked in. It was obvious that Chuck had put a lot of work in the cabin. The wood work was impressive, the bathrooms were modern and the setting was peaceful. It’s the perfect place for boaters on Winyah Bay, the intercoastal waterway or North and South Santee Inlets. Great porches to relax on after a day on the water.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We're so happy you enjoyed your time here and certainly hope you will come again.
This was one of the best VRBO stays we've ever had. It was perfect for fishing (just a few miles to a great ramp). There is plenty of room to park a boat or two. This is an ideal spot for a romantic weekend away or two couples. The pictures are deceiving as it's much larger than expected. There is two living room spaces and lots of table seating. There is also an outdoor living space AND both upstairs and downstairs porches. It is tastefully decorated with ample kitchen utensils. It was historic, rustic, peaceful.... I'm in love! Eclectic decor (I would have decorated it the exact same way). The A/C was robust (thank heavens) as it was outside. Speaking of outside there is a pond with fish and an outdoor fire pit. Brandi, I'll call her the community dog came over for a visit. What a sweet girl. Free dog with booking (just joking, but she was THAT sweet - that you'd almost want to).The cottage is close to town, but far enough out to offer peace n quiet. It was a nice drive - not too long - but just far enough to get that relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for. (We had stayed in town before and had to worry about neighbours and where to park the boat). If mosquitoes are not your thing bring bug spray. They are manageable - suck it up buttercup (it's 100% worth it for the views and the peace)! Paul the property manager is 2 thumbs up! He was available for any questions (we had none, but still). This place is heaven on earth.
