Lake Time was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. Our granddaughters loved fishing from the dock and we all loved having our morning coffee on the deck with a fantastic view of the lake. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to escape!
We stayed at the property over Labor Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed everything it had to offer. The house was clean, beds very comfortable, plenty of space to cook, watch TV, kitchen well stocked, very nice pantry to tuck away all the groceries we brought in. We got lucky with weather and spent most time outdoors. Great covered dock on the water to swim, sunbathe, fish, jump. Great firepot with wood to cook and enjoy s'mores. Very gentle slope between the house and lake. One late evening we got pouring rain and covered deck was very much appreciated. Great house!
We love SML. We return yearly. This house was very nice, the price was reasonable and it was on the part if the lake we like best. We had some minor plumbing issues. We were able to somewhat take care of ourselves. It was reported to CB tentals.

We are glad you had a great time at Laketime. We are sorry for the plumbing issues, and glad that CB Rentals were able to solve them for you. The shower head has been replaced, and all the handles have been tightened. We also love this part of the lake, and hope to see you back soon!
I found this property to be comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed. A couple of things that need work. 1. The AC was not balanced. The upstairs was too warm and the downstairs was an ice box. 2. There was mold on the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom and everything needed to be dusted. Lighting fixtures, shelves... had cobwebs and a layer of dust. 3. It is possible that I just didn't read the description carefully but I was surprised by the television setup and also that we could not use the boat lift. We have been able to use the lift with other SML properties.
All in all, it was a nice property and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you had a good time at the property, and wanted to provide you how we following up. For the mold, we have had it cleaned and have fixed the doors and fan to try and ensure that moisture does not build up after showers. We will investigate the AC, and add the hint of closing the registers downstairs to the guest book. We will reach out about the television set up so that we can clarify the description. We will also make it clear that boats can be docked on the floater, not at the lift which may or may not be empty when the house is rented.
Thank you again, and we hope to see you in the future
Great views of the lake. House has plenty of room for 6 adults, kitchen is well stocked. We loved the access to the dock as we rented a boat for the week. Use of the kayaks was also a plus. We spent most evenings around the fire pit enjoying the sunset. Would definetly stay at LakeTime again.
This house offers everything you need. The view of the lake is beautiful. The deck has plenty of seating and has covered and uncovered parts. Also, the deck has a gate at the top of the staircase so the dogs (or kids!) can chill with you without you worrying about them going down the stairs. The dock is amazing. It has a covered portion that is always shaded with a lovely table and chairs. There are two beach loungers with cushions, and multiple other chairs on the dock. There is a lower dock that is great to dock a boat or jet ski. There are 2 kayaks that are available to use (they are the type that you put your feet into, so they are a little tippy but still fun). The kitchen is well stocked and has a huge island. The house is dog friendly with a nice back yard. The neighborhood is nice to walk the dogs through and we saw many other pups and their owners on our walks. The downstairs has a ping pong table and foosball table which was fun for us, as well. We loved staying at Lake Time!
I was at SML 30 years ago and have fond memories of my stay. We decided to take our family there for vacation. We were not disappointed! We loved the house! It was super clean. Well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed beautiful views, camp fires, boating, swimming, horseback riding and just being together.
We are already planning a return trip!
For the price, this property is more or less the most ideal and inclusive of which I have ever stayed at on any lake in Virginia.
- While unassuming on the exterior out front, this property delivers big everywhere you need it to.
- Very large and beautiful kitchen for cooking and entertaining.
- With the exception of the bunk beds, very comfortable and cozy sleeping options for a small to medium group. Quick and easy new pull out sofas were great to have!
- Indoor entertainment options: ping pong, foosball and smart TVs are a great addition.
- Lots of porch room, both covered and uncovered for whatever the weather brings with beautiful views of the lake.
- The easy walk down to the dock and fire pit area is something that can not be overstated and under-appreciated.
- Amazing fire pit area overlooking the lake with a cooking grill. This was definitely the highlight of the property for us.
- Very nice dock with both sun heavy locations and fully covered functional sections.
We had a wonderful stay. The only issue we had was with the showers. The pipes made a loud banging noise and there was very little water pressure. Even with this we would stay here again.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm so happy you enjoyed your time at our home. Come back anytime! There is a little trick to keeping those pipes from banging that used to be posted on the fridge. They've tried to fix them without success. If you guys come back next year, turn the cold water on first, pull the shower stopper up, then turn the water to hot. Hopefully the new homeowners will have better luck figuring out why the hot water being turned on first causes that strange noise.
We had a great time staying at this house. Check-in was smooth and efficient. There is plenty of space, an open floor plan upstairs, and downstairs. There is also a lovely deck that is partially covered, so we were able to sit outside even when it rained and when we needed a little break from the sun.
The only minor issues were a dripping tub faucet upstairs in the bathroom in the bedroom with the king-size bed and the shower downstairs. The grill was a little dirty, and the screen on the sliding glass door to the deck was off the track, but we were able to still open and close it. Also, the pipes were loud when we turned on the water for showers.
There is a hill/incline to get to the water, but it is not steep. There is also a fire pit close to the water. There were two televisions, one downstairs, and one upstairs, WIFI, and cable TV. There is also ping pong downstairs. The view was lovely from the house and of course, once we got down to the lake. The kitchen was well equipped. There are plenty of plates and silverware, glasses, pots, pans, and utensils for cooking. The kitchen included both a Keurig and a coffee maker as well as a toaster, and a toaster oven. The refrigerator was spacious and had an ice maker. We would most definitely stay here again.
This property was a great place to stay with family. We were happy with the location and were able to enjoy some of the local wineries and restaurants. The boat dock was great and allowed plenty of room for our pontoon boat and three kayaks as well as a nice area for swimming and sitting in the sun. The little ones enjoyed the Ice Cream Float that came around nearly ever day.
The home is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed if you enjoy cooking.
I would highly recommend this home and we will keep this on our list of places to revisit.
The Smith Mountain Lake area is beautiful and well worth the visit.
Beautiful Location. Great dock. Deer greetings every afternoon . Easy access to shopping and vineyards. Lovely house. Easy slop for Grandparents to get to boat everyday. Lots of space and stocked kitchen!!!

Fun Time!
We had a great time at this property. Everyone enjoyed the stay, and are already talking about another trip. We had a 14 year old young man with us, and he loved it! Fishing was pretty good from the dock, and a nice open lay out in the house. The deck was perfect, and great just to relax. I would recommend this property to anyone...Thanks Again!

Beautiful views, comfortable home
Comfortable home with many amenities included. Boat dock & empty slip perfect for our boating family. We enjoyed spending time swimming & fishing off the dock & eating dinner together around the large table every evening. Highly recommend for a medium-large group!

Great place. Good location.
We really enjoyed the fire pit as it was a cold weekend. We had comfortable beds with plenty of room for us to be indoors and enjoy the view. Good kitchen to work in. Plenty to do with movies and ping pong.

Perfect location and beautiful water view!
The open concept main floor is perfect for family time. Waking up every morning and watching the sunrise on the water was one of the best parts of our stay. Clean and well kept place. We hope to be back again!

Probably won't stay again !!
Hot water ran out in 5 minutes making normal morning showers unavailable to all guests. However, the first guest was able to take a speed shower but had no hot water to shave. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher upon arrival. Other than that, it was a real nice place.

Wow, I'm very shocked to hear that the hot water ran out that quickly. The water heater has been more than adequate for 6-8 renters staying for full weeks during the summer for the past 4 years. I wish you would have called us to let us know. Its possible that one of the elements have burnt out. I will check it out tomorrow as we have new renters coming in this weekend. I appreciate you letting us know. I want to make sure it is 100% functional for all our renters. I apologize that it wasn't 100% for your group. If anything like that ever happens during your stay, please do call the emergency number that's on your check in information so we can get it remedied immediately.
