This region of Vermont has long been a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy skiing & riding, biking, hiking, breweries, culture, fishing and paddling. Smugglers' Notch Ski Resort is ~ 3 miles away with alpine and Nordic skiing. and loads of summer fun. Nearby, Stowe, offers a plethora of offerings (please note: Stowe is ~ 15 minutes away in the summer and is one hour away in winter months due to the closure of Rte 108). Jay Peak is 50 minutes away. This area is popular with painters, writers, photographers and to the art community at large. Equally a favorite for foodies and craft beer lovers. If you enjoy locally grown and the slow food movement, this is a place to explore. Discover the best of the country's best craft beer and savor locally grown food.
