Welcome to Dolphin’s Rest! We’re the proud owners of this historic Halls Harbour home and we’re eager to share it with you! Just steps away from the shore, this ocean-front property offers magnificent views of the harbour and Fundy’s famous, ever-changing tides. We have lovingly renovated and refurbished this charming home, trying to stay true to its special character while creating a relaxing retreat for our guests. Make us your home away from home while you enjoy your Nova Scotia holiday.

Halls Harbour is a popular vacation destination. In addition to the draw of the ocean views and the extraordinary tides, there are many other attractions to enjoy in the area. The Harbour is home to a number of businesses including artists, antiques and dining. The Annapolis Valley boasts fine wineries, orchards and gardens. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the beautiful Cape Split Trail and Blomidon Provincial Park. A visit to Huntington Point to explore the Fairy Cottages and picnic at the beach is a perfect day trip for families. Treat yourself to fresh seafood at the Lobster Pound at the pier, a two minute walk from Dolphin's Rest or check out the local restaurants in the Annapolis Valley. Of course, you always have the option of cooking for yourself in the fully supplied kitchen and spending your time relaxing at Dolphin’s Rest. Bring some of that famous Annapolis Valley wine home with you and sip it while you enjoy the ocean breezes and incomparable views.

Lovely old character home in a beautiful scenic setting with lots of space for a family or group of friends. The home is right on the ocean and next to a wharf, seafood restaurant, gift shops and a lobster pound. We chose this home as we were attending a family wedding being held in a nearby community. Dolphin’s Rest was the perfect place for our family of seven.

Wonderful, restful, great location.

This is a lovely old house, nicely restored and very comfortable. There is a great sitting room with a view of the sea. The location is amazing, sitting right at the edge of the sea with direct access to a rocky beach. We ate most of our breakfasts on the patio overlooking the beach. It's a small, peaceful town. Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation and we loved the feel of the place.

Harbour front large house.

Was so great to have enough bedrooms for our large family. Loved being on the harbour and experiencing those amazing tides and being able to just walk over to the Lobster Pound restaurant. Great memories.

Dolphin’s Rest is perfectly situated on the Bay of Fundy in Halls Harbour. We only spent one night but it was a much needed oasis for a family of five after 3 nights in hotel rooms in Halifax. Three of the bedrooms had water views. We wandered the low tide beach, spread out and relaxed. Perfect view. Perfect house.

Lovely property with a spectacular view. Your home was even nicer in person. All 5 of us found our beds very comfortable. With windows open you could hear the waves when falling asleep. Great to have 5 bedrooms, one each of us in our group. We will return next summer to stay longer. Thank you

Best spot to relax

We loved our stay at Dolphins Rest!! Such a cute house, right on the water. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us in the house. Hubby had the best naps on the lawn listening to the waves! Watching the tides come in & out was amazing and we loved exploring the beach at low tides. Fires at night on the beach were relaxing. The hosts are very nice & offered lots of suggestions for places to visit & shop. We would highly recommend this house and hope to come back up in the future!

Being right on the shore of the Bay of Fundy, one has access to experiencing the highest tides in the world right from our backyard. Dolphin's Rest is a 170 year old home that was once a sea captain's home, a pub and a hotel. And what can I say about Halls's Harbour? A truly special place in Nova Scotia and Canada.
