Escape to tranquility at Spencer’s Island

Nestled on the scenic Bay of Fundy, our cozy seaside cottage in Spencer’s Island, Nova Scotia offers the perfect retreat for nature lovers and relaxation seekers. Take a short walk to the beach, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, or explore coastal trails, and peaceful surroundings. Ideal for couples, or families looking to unplug and unwind.

Located close to Cape Chignecto provincial park, Cape D’Or lighthouse and the renowned Wild Caraway restaurant, the area offers lots to do. A short drive to Parrsboro will allow you to take in a show at Ship’s Company Theatre, or enjoy a local ale at Two Islands brewing. Or, do nothing at all and just enjoy the views from the porch swing.

The recently renovated cottage has all the comforts of home. With a primary suite on the main floor and a second one upstairs there is ample room for two families. The bonus/loft space has two single beds but the doorway to the room is 4 foot tall so best suited to smaller guests. The large kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including an air fryer, toaster oven and microwave. The farmhouse table seats 10 or you can enjoy meals on the covered porch and watch the humming birds feed.

For cool nights there is a pellet stove, The cottage is equipped with many board games, puzzles, dvds, books, three smart tv’s and a telescope to,view the night sky.

There is a security camera on the porch which allows me to make sure people get in the house ok but it is not monitored after check in.

Check-in was seamless though the keypad was a bit sensitive. Kitchen was ridiculously well-appointed with hot and cold water dispenser, every kind of coffee machine, toaster, air-fryer etc. Wi-fi access was awesome and worked with at least 5 devices at a time.Hosts were very responsive and helpful

What a lovely place to spend a weekend! Perfect location for two couples with plenty of space and a kitchen that was completely kitted out with everything to prepare meals. A great blend of indoor and outdoor space. The easterly facing porch was the perfect location for a morning coffee and to unwind with a glass of wine at the end of a day exploring. Spotlessly clean. Owner was very responsive and helpful in all communications

Originally from Ontario we relocated to Nova Scotia during the pandemic and loved it so much we decided to stay. We live in nearby Parrsboro but wanted to be closer to the ocean to take in the amazing views

Spencer’s Island is scenic and peaceful. The first thing we did is cut down the porch railing so we could enjoy the views over morning coffee

What makes this property unique

Designed with entertaining in mind our spacious kitchen has a table that seats 10+ for big family dinners or board games and cards. It is perfect for a quintessential east coast kitchen party
