Wonderful stay

We visited Monterey for the Maple Festival. The location of Blue View allowed us to take a short walk into town (most of it on a sidewalk) and avoid parking and traffic issues on the busiest day (Saturday). There were several contact numbers in case we needed assistance. We didn’t. Everything worked well. Internet service was very good. The house was clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of parking space. The host was accessible before arrival to give us the address and access code. A book was provide that gave clear and concise directions for operating everything. I highly recommend Blue View.

Cute get away place

We stayed for the weekend and used the house as a home base for our day trip Snowshoe. Cute, cozy and felt like home.

Loved the Blue View

Our family loved our stay at the beautiful and scenic Blue View. Everything, from the quality of furniture, to the kitchen, to the treatment we received from the staff. Everything absolutely five stars. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our family. Highly recommend the pizza from Hunt Brothers in town… a minimum of 3 night stay is what it takes to truly enjoy the town and the surrounding beautiful mountains!

Spectacular views in a warm and comfortable home away from home

I had the best time at the Blue View, thoroughly appreciating all its amenities both inside and out. Waking up each morning to coffee on the back deck to soak up the exquisite view was an extra special treat. A very short and easy stroll to the nearby Roots Grocery, which was stocked with beautiful produce and treats which made me feel right at home (as the owners hail from San Diego!) Just a couple minutes’ walk will take you to the main street of Monterey with its charming storefronts and restored buildings. Claire’s coffee and cakes and The Third Space stood out for being extra special. After taking in all the history and architecture of downtown, it was always a joy to return to the Blue View, where I could cook to my heart’s content in the wonderfully upgraded kitchen, fully provisioned, spacious and bright. I also appreciated the cush furnishings, thoughtful touches, and the lovely color palette throughout to set off the art prints on the wall. Everything was so clean and I appreciated having the space to spread out and spend time with friends. I can’t wait to come back!
