Seaside Condo, DECEMBER SPECIAL

Upon waking in the morning we hear the murmuring of tropical birds , feel the gentle sea breezes and the fragrance of jasmine. When we go out from the apartment we can see the sea across the street and catch the sun rise if we wake early. Relax with a drink on the south facing balcony that looks out onto a spacious enclosed garden with palm trees, bougainvillea and 2 pools. Walk across the street to Smather's Beach for swimming and and snorkeling. Later take a stroll in Old Town or visit Fort Taylor Park and its beautiful beaches. In the evening pick up some fresh shrimp to prepare a gourmet meal in our full kitchen with the freshest seafood on the east coast. Or if you prefer head for downtown where there are literally dozens of sophisticated and alluring restaurants. The apartment is spacious and bright and filled with the art of my wife Marina's father. Key West is the ultimate winter beach destination.

Great location in Key West

We enjoyed our stay at Key West by the sea. The location across from Smathers beach was great. The condo had two beautiful pools and nice grounds and was a relaxing place to stay. The owner, Benjamin was very nice to work with and communicates well. The apartment was clean and had some lovely artwork. The bed was comfortable. Our small dog was welcome. Our only complaint, and it was a minor one was the couch in the living room was not too comfortable and the kitchen could use some updating. This is why we did not give 5 stars. Everything else deserved 5 stars and this did not detract from our stay. We enjoyed it so much that we are booking it again for next year.

Great complex! Uncomfortable furniture!

At first we loved it. Beautiful grounds and pool. Friendly people. But coming home at end of day the furniture was hard and old. Bed was ok. Kitchen silverware was unmatched and falling apart. The TV sets were under 30". The grout on floor tile needed to be redone - stained and sloppily done. Balcony was cluttered with personal items. Weather was great. Stayed for the month of Jan 2017.

Great location

The location is amazing. Two minutes to the beach. The condo grounds are pristine. Two pools one heated & lovely gardens with palm trees & blooming flowers. The staff in the office is exceptional, they will help you with anything. The owners are very responsive. I had a minor issue & they were on the phone & e-mailed me within 15 minutes. Under no control of the owners is the major construction project that was going on in the front building. There was scaffolding, machinery, banging & drilling from 8am to 5:30 six days a week. It was far enough away not to be a problem. However the building that this condo is in will start this major construction next year between December 2019 & March 2020 . I would call the condo office to confirm when the construction will start. Unless you plan on being out of the condo 6 days a week it would be impossible to stay. The only downfall of the condo is it is very dated & is in desperate need of updating. Especially the shower

Key West By The Sea Condo Stay

This was the first time I have stayed here and found the place very comfortable. This Condo complex has everything you would want, 2 pools, well kept grounds, and much more plus it is just across the street from Smathers Beach. I plan to return to this spot every year.

Condo living, on beautiful pristine grounds!

Directly across from Smathers beach, with two large pools, two tennis courts and a bbq. Five minute drive to Duval St. The landscaping is gorgeous and extremely well maintained. The pools are cleaned daily. A great family feeling, with very friendly owners and renters. Benjamin, the condo owner, is great to work with and gets back to you immediately.

Wonderful Winter Escape!

It was a delight to spend a winter month in this cheerfully warm, tropical paradise! The apt. was bright, and artistically decorated with sculptures and colorful paintings on the wall. It has a nice balcony which overlooks the gardens and swimming pool. The owners were thoughtfull enough to leave a bouquet of flowers and some folding beach chairs for me to use. I enjoyed having my morning tea at the little table on the balcony while listening to the birds tweeting. The apt. Location was great, literally across the street from the beach, a 10 minute drive to downtown Key West, yet a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. I rented a bike and the shop sent a chauffeur to pick me up at the complex. It's very easy to bike into town if you don't have a car or just want the exercise and I loved walking along the sea wall across the street heading towards the airport where I saw a small sea turtle in the water, a baby shark, and all kinds of interestng fish! I loved my stay in this apt and would go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect Escape From The Polar Vortex

This Key West getaway condo is a wonderful escape from the freezing temperatures of the northeast. I was here once before and noticed this time that there is a beautiful new ceramic tile floor which gives a bright airy feeling to the place! l loved also that the beach was right across the street, and from Key West by the Sea I could bike to most anywhere on island. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals and after dinner on warm evenings it was great to be able to cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool which is just a three minute walk from the apt. It feels like heaven to wake up in the morning and walk through the lovely flowers and garden that surround the pool area. It's very convenient and easy to get around this complex with their elevators and push carts for luggage, groceries, and laundry. The location is very nice - only a quick trip to downtown by car, bus,or bike, but far enough away if you want to retreat from the hustle bustle of the main drag. Great place for adventure or total R&R. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

Stepping Into Paradise!

I just returned from my 3d winter vacation in this light, bright, and very artistically furnished apt. It's delightful to open the front door each morning and to see the beautiful orange - pink sunrise behind the trees. I've always found this condo to be very clean and comfortable and this time I found some new appliances in the already well-equipped kitchen.There was also the addition of a new flat pannel T.V in the living room! The apt.location is great since the beach is across the street and it's just a ten minute drive to down town Key West and Mallory Dock. Everyone at the condo was very friendly from the neighbors to the maintenance personnel. The grounds and garden are beautifully maintained and it was so relaxing to sit out by the pool surrounded by the colorful hibiscus and palm trees. The sunlight, flowers, sunsets,and turquoise blue water of Key West are unbelievable and I would often stay outside as long as possible to take full advantage of it. Since this is a gated complex I always felt safe and never worried about my car or returning at night after dark. Being on the second floor I really appreciated the big laundry/grocery wagons and elevators that are located at the base of the stairs. All I had to do was load the wagons with my laundry or packages and walk into the elevator - no schlepping.Life doesn't get any easier! It's like stepping into Paradise for while and I can't wait to go back.

QUIET AND CLEAN COZY CONDO

About four years ago, my son and I stayed at this property for two weeks. We chose this location, as it is very close to all the entertainment along Mallory Dock where he performs. I also chose this condo because although I enjoy all the fun that Key West has to offer in entertainment, we stay up late so, this location is nice and quiet and it gave us an opportunity to relax in a peaceful atmosphere after an evening of colorful music and fun. All bedding was freshly washed, the airconditioner was very rarely used, as we enjoyed the cross ventilation that this condo has to offer, along with the ceiling fans.The kitchen was clean and very well functioning, and the refrigerator and the cabinet space was just the right size for us for a weeks worth of food. Grocery stores and shopping areas, are not far, maybe a five minutes drive. We enjoyed taking a day trip to the Dry Tortugas where the water is crystalline blue and torquoise in color. The restaurants in the area are many, with an array of various choices of food. Our favorite spot to eat was a Cuban Restaurant called El Siboney located on Catherine Street, about 7 minutes from the condo. We utilized the kitchen for our breakfasts and lunches and occasional home cooked dinners. My son and I plan to return to Key West again next year and will be hopefully staying here. By the way, this is a gated community, where you need the key to enter the property. This was a bonus feature for us as we always felt comfortabe and safe coming home late at night. The pictures on this site completely show how the condo was when we stayed. Airy, light, clean, private and quiet. I hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as we did. My name is Bruce Davis and I have been going to Key West with my wife for over 30 years.We have been using this wonderful condo as a winter getaway for as long as I can remember.I love to look out over the garden from the balcony and do watercolors as the sunsets. Sometimes we go out to Mallory Dock in the evening and take in the street shows,cats jumping through rings of fire,drummers of every persuasion,jugglers,artists painting their fantasies on the sidewalks:you name it they've got it!
