Place to stay for our daughter’s wedding. 10 minutes from venue. Lots to do in Norfolk
Lots of great places to eat or have a cocktail. Great venues for a wedding, from rehearsal/welcome dinner to wedding ceremony and reception to After party.

not what it seamed
VRBOMy daughter and her friends rented this property for their senior week. While we appreciated them giving them opportunity to stay as they were all only 18 years old and teenagers don’t typically take care of the places they stay. These kids saved their OWN MONEY to be able to do this and chose this area because it isn’t as crazy as Ocean City and they chose to just relax and enjoy time with their closest friends. The house was filthy, black mold on the AC and they were told there was a new AC in the closet but not to use it yet because they didn’t need it with the weather being what it was. That should be the opinion of the person PAYING to stay at the property if they’d like to use the AC or not. The “Temper-Pedic” beds were so uncomfortable that some of the kids slept on couches instead. One room had no light, there was a light switch taped up, the kids planned on grilling one night and the grill was disgusting, beaten up and had no propane. They were also told someone would be coming to install a deck during their stay….that is unacceptable. If a deck was to be installed the property shouldn’t have been rented OR they should’ve been told ahead of time. A friend of the home owner also came to the house telling the kids that he lost his cell phone and to let the owner know he would be at the hotel…..NOT OK. Before leaving they had attempted to reach the home owner for “Check-Out” instructions and didn’t hear back so they did the “typical” check out tasks to care for

Need Work
The manager of this property asked me to give constructive criticism, so I’m going to try. Honestly, this place has potential to be a really nice rental space. It fell short due to too many easy to remedy issues.
The place is not as clean and tidy as the pictures showed. The washing machine needs to be replaced. We didn’t even want to wash our clothes in that machine. The furniture needs to updated. The neighborhood was decent, but not completely “safe looking”. The backyard outside space looks absolutely nothing like the pics.
The bottom line…get some professional painting/cleaning done to the interior, clean the floors (or at least put rugs over problem areas like that spot outside of the downstairs bathroom), update the furniture, and add new bedding. Those basics will improve this property for future renters.
Internet was not good rugs not cleaned trash was left could not go outside for the flies could trash was not removed rar dropping in bed room broken window in bed room left wedding ring and bracelet cant get in touch with owner trying to call left message no call back so no it wasn't good at all wont a refund i traveled 7 hours for this

About the host

I would love to be a great host for you if you allow me. Too many guests are passive aggressive, meaning they do not give me the opportunity to correct any issues associated with the property before saying something on a review. Please extend me the opportunity to support you the best I can before your departure. Thanks
