Welcome to our circa 1868 Rock Schoolhouse, a one room schoolhouse nestled in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, located 26 miles south of Prairie du Chien, WI and 43 miles north of Dubuque, IA. The Rock Schoolhouse first served as a schoolhouse beginning in 1868, was then utilized as a community center, voting location, and home to town government until 2020. The Rock Schoolhouse offers beauty, history, and the old time schoolhouse touches along with the comforts and modern conveniences of today's world, including a 75' Roku TV, WiFi, 1-1/2 baths, stone kitchen countertops, a queen-size bed and two pull out couches to sleep additional guests.
Glen Haven and The Rock Schoolhouse are located on the mighty Mississippi river, set in the beautiful bluffs, forest and farmland of the upper Mississippi river. We are located 15 minutes from Wyalusing and Nelson Dewey State Parks, offering hiking, boating, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Voted "Best" scenic view in Wisconsin by "Wisconsin Trails" readers, Wyalusing Park showcases the joining of the Mississippi river and Wisconsin river.
