Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Historic 1910 bungalow in the Cotton Mill district of Edenton! Walking distance to great restaurants and the waterfront. Big back yard for your fur baby to run around. The kitchen is pretty basic. I would suggest eating at one of the wonderful local restaurants or take out. Has a Fridge, Microwave, toaster oven and hot plate. It’s an old house with some quirks!

House smelled of cat urine and there was cat hair on the sofa which also appeared dirty. No lights were on and communication said they would be as we were arriving late. The posting also said 2 bedrooms and there was only one and it was not a bed big enough for 2 just friends. No extra sheets to use the couch. Late at night and laborious efforts to rectify the situation with both owner and VRBO, though the VRBO representative was dauntless in keeping to the protocol yet trying to assist. Owner eventualy did put us up in a hotel at her expense. But a very disappointing and frustrating evening.
We enjoyed staying at the Sugar Shack. It is a very nice property, great location: Being seniors it was a little difficult for us to step down into the tub, a second grab bar would be helpful. Would like to stay again, but we have a medium size dog.
We had a great time in this peaceful neighborhood that was within walking distance of the main town. Everyone was super friendly. The shops were so cute! My only problem was as that we were under the impression there two bedrooms. It all worked out because my son (6’6”) slept on the sofa. We agreed we will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is adorable and the neighborhood was great. Very quiet, lovely neighbors and walking distance to town. Will definitely book it again.
