One of the highlights of Blue Moon Cottage is the large inground pool, where you can cool off and unwind on those hot summer days. Dive right in and enjoy some refreshing relaxation under the sun.

For music enthusiasts, our cottage boasts a dedicated music room honoring the legendary Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass music and my grandfather's first cousin. You'll find a mandolin and guitar waiting for you to strum your own melodies, as well as a record player with Bluetooth connectivity and a collection of both classic and contemporary bluegrass albums. Let the soothing sounds of bluegrass fill the air as you embrace the rich musical heritage of the region.

Step inside our remodeled 90-year old home, where you'll find unique charm & character during your stay. The main level features a cozy bedroom with a king bed, alongside a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a whirlpool tub for ultimate relaxation. Additionally, the music room offers a futon for extra sleeping arrangements.

Blue Moon Cottage also provides a laundry room, a comfortable living room with a sectional sofa, a dining room for shared meals, and a fully-stocked kitchen complete with coffee, snacks, and drinks for your convenience.

Upstairs, you'll discover two more spacious bedrooms, each furnished with a king bed for a restful night's sleep. There's also a sleeper sofa in the common area, perfect for additional guests. The upstairs bathroom ensures everyone has ample space and privacy. Walk-in closets offer plenty of storage, and a dedicated workspace allows you to catch up on any remote work or personal projects.

This place exceeded my expectations, it was stunning! They didn’t miss a single detail and the interior decorator did an amazing job! The pool was so much fun and the area was very peaceful! House was spotless. Remodeled and furnished beautifully. More spacious than photos show. It was too cool for us to enjoy the pool but the fire table on the back porch was perfect for a chilly night. The neighborhood is picturesque. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed and more. Host provided thoughtful and sufficient amenities. Stayed with family (4 adults and 5 kids 1-6 years old) and had the best weekend. So much better staying here than a hotel in separate rooms. 10/10 recommended and will be rebooking.

Great layout and amenities for multiple families

House layout is fantastic for several families. Bedrooms are large with closets stocked with extra blankets, pillows and a small fan. The kitchen is small, but stocked with everything we needed. The stocked coffee area and basket of snacks were used daily. Both kids and adults enjoyed the large pool. We will stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Beautiful home in Owensboro

Was in town for a family event last week. The Blue Moon Cottage is a beautiful home, with plenty of space and everything you can think of. Has to be one of the best rentals in Owensboro. Nice quiet neighborhood but also minutes away from anything you need, especially good barbecue! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town!

Our stay was great. The house was clean and very well decorated. The pool was perfect for the kids and the adults. A lot of cannon balls were done in the pool over the week. We only had one issue (power outage to no fault of the host) I messaged the host fairly early and they got back to me very quickly and let me know there was an outage in my area and directed me to the map so that I could monitor it on my own. Our next trip to Owensboro, we will definitely be reaching out to book again.

We have family in Owensboro, and sometimes we need a little extra space when we visit from Bowling Green. This adorable house is in the perfect location and gives us the extra space needed for “spillover”…so much better than staying at a hotel. The coziest home in a nice neighborhood! Every corner of this space was decorated with the cutest/modern decor! Had us wishing our home was that cute. Beds were very comfortable. Home had everything we needed. We loved the coffee bar and snacks they left as well. Pool was a bit chilly (Aug 31-Sept 1) and had some leaves at the bottom of it, but overall was fine. They have pool floats there for you as well which was nice.The backyard area was just so nice! Very shady in the afternoons. We enjoyed the fire pit. This home is close to everything you need to see/do in Owensboro! Everything we did was less than a 10 minute drive away. There was a squirrel that visited us on both days of our stay here as well. Very cute!

Charming place

We came down for my son’s wedding. The cottage was very nice, clean and all the bedrooms had lovely decor and king sized beds. The main living room was big enough for all who stayed with us. Love that we could do laundry. The pool was still open and we did get a swim in due to how warm it was outside. We absolutely loved this vrbo. We will definitely stay here again.
