Daphne’s Hideaway

Modern, clean, and easy to relax. Bring the whole family to enjoy our Daphne Hideaway with the entire home to yourselves. 5 min off of the I-10, we are centrally located near all the attractions in the bay, Fairhope, and Mobile. During your stay, you can enjoy access to any of our three community pools (Apr-Oct), tennis courts, horse stables, a yacht club, and a golf course. In less than an hour, you can be at one of the nation's three top beaches- Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Pensacola.
The space
Our home was recently renovated and finished with the loving hands of our family (and you may see a few seashells found by our girls as well). The neighborhood has rolling hills, a lush landscape with tall trees, unique well-kept homes, and a plethora of parks, playgrounds, and activities to choose from. The house feels remote while still being close to the highway, shopping, and dining.

Master Bedroom: Queen-sized bed, hammock chair, en suite private bathroom, dual sinks, oversized bathtub, standing shower, walk-in closet, portable crib/pack and play, great daylight through windows with new blinds

Guest Bedrooms One and Two: two guest bedrooms are each equipt with one Queen-sized bed, twin-sized futon chair, extra linens, walk-in closet, large windows with new blinds

Living Room: Queen-sized Murphy bed chest, sprawling sectional couch, games for the family, vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan with a view of the entire kitchen and dining, wifi, and a brand new 55" Smart TV

Kitchen/Dining Room: Stainless Steel Appliances, Keurig coffee, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher

Full-sized brand new Washer/Dryer off the Kitchen
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house during your stay with the exception of a locked maintenance closet and the garage. There is room for four cars in the driveway and parking available on the street as well. Our home is monitored 24/7 by security cameras placed at every entrance to ensure that our staff is helping us with our property as expected. Guests will have a secure code for the front door entry that is only active for the duration of the stay and is unique for each guest.

Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and bedding and towels in the laundry area. Throw out any food and drinks that are left and take the trash out to then bin and place the bin on the curb.
Insure the doors are locked and light are turned off. Please turn off the a/c or Heating
Return the pool key to the welcome book.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The home is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. It's in a great location and close to everything and close to Mobile. There were a few things that it does need is maybe some curtains. The sun does come filtering in the morning. There are no dressers in the bedrooms. Another tv in the master bedroom would be nice. Since its a large home it seems like it does stay damp but the heater does work well

Great Location

We stayed here for an extended weekend to celebrate Mardi Gras and my 40th birthday. The location of the house was very convenient to Mobile and surrounding areas. My kids loved the spacious living area and playing the board games provided by the host.

Exploring the Eastern Shore

Along with a friend, I enjoyed a four day stay at the Daphne Hideaway. It was the perfect central location for exploring Fairhope, Point Clear, Bellingrath Gardens and Foley. The place was perfect for a nice quiet night after our daily ventures out sightseeing and shopping yet not far from a variety of restaurants. We would love to return again!

Parts of the house had a musty smell. The stools beside the fireplace were dusty with dog hair. Some of the blankets smelled like feet. I had to wash them before we used them. It was cold and the thermostat was set to not go above 72. He said if i needed to adjust it higher, i would need to pay an extra 100. The instructions were to place trash outside in trash bin by garage. However when we got there the trash was already overflowing.The online pics look better than the actual house.

Daphne Short Stay

We were down from North Mississippi for my wife's brother's funeral. We found this property available for the two nights we needed. It was very accommodating for our 13 year old granddaughter who has CP and is confined to a wheelchair. The huge open den, dining and kitchen area was great for her to move around freely, as well as the rest of our family. Should we be in south Alabama we will certainly look to see if this property is available. Joshua is a great host. He kept us well informed. Thanks for a great stay.

Daphne stay

We had a soccer tournament for the weekend and found this place. We really liked it. It was clean and in a great location. We felt very safe and it was close to everything we needed. The one thing I would say is the place could be better stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, shampoo, etc. I travel with that anyway so it wasn’t a big deal to me. Beds were comfy, towels were nice and clean and the pillows were good. We only had 1 issue with the front door lock and the owner was quick to help us get inside! Overall we were very pleased with the home. We would stay again!

Nice long weekend getaway

My family of 4 visited the Daphne Spanish Fort region for a bike race and an extended weekend around Spring Break. The house is in an easy to get to location within the vast Lake Forest community in Daphne. The house itself is not new, but the owners have done a good job with some renovations. The floors are brand new it seemed like the furniture as new. The open floor plan was geat for our family of 4. Our major complaint with the place was a lack of furniture in the bedrooms. None of the three bedrooms had a dresser or chest of drawers to put our clothes. Bedrooms 2 and 3 had shelving in the closet but the master closet did not o e had no place to unpack our clothes during the trip. We improvised and made it work, but it seemed odd. Overall we had a great time and the lack of a dresser did not really impact our trip. I would stay at the property again if visiting the area and would recommend to anyone visiting the area for more than a day or two.
