Located in the Ozark hills but a few miles from town sits this unique earth-berm style home in Forsyth, MO. Huge deck w/ winter views of Swan Creek and Shadow Rock Park. House backs up to land owned by Corps of Engineers. Swan Creek access within walking distance; Bull Shoals Lake and Lake Taneycomo boat ramp access-less than 5 minutes driving distance; 18 miles from Branson and Silver Dollar City; 30 minutes from Table Rock State Park. Bull Shoals contains walleye, crappie, white, striped and small mouth bass, and many other species of fish. Lake Taneycomo holds world-class and record-sized trout. All 3 lakes are great for fishing, boating, kayaking, water sports, and much more.

Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area and Hercules Glades Wilderness are just a short drive away for hiking and creek exploring. There is a walking and bicycle trail running from Bull Shoals boat access at Shadowrock Park to Lake Taneycomo access at Empire Park/Powersite Dam. Both parks also contain playgrounds, picnic tables, shelters/restrooms, and fishing areas.

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of Branson and drive less than 20 minutes back home to quiet and privacy.

This home features 2 bedrooms, one bonus room, 2 full bathrooms, large kitchen, and large laundry room. Both the master and guest bedrooms have sliding glass patio doors that lead to the deck.

*Please note, the closets in the master bedroom and laundry room are restricted from guest use. Thank you for respecting our space.*

Both bathrooms contain walk in showers, and the hall bath features a double vanity. Towels, linens, and blankets are provided. Extras are labeled and located in the laundry room.

The kitchen contains basic cookware as well as a small crockpot and baking dishes.

Cleaning supplies available to guests.

We have a small backyard off the deck, and it is not steep like the picture suggests. It is a slight slope leading to the tree line which backs up to woods owned by the Corps of Engineers.

We are located in a rural area surrounded by woods and approximately 100 yards from Swan Creek. Therefore, you may encounter insects, snakes and other wildlife. We treat our home monthly and have sticky traps throughout the home. Please be aware of this when booking our property.

Please note that you may be asked to sign a short-term rental contract upon booking at owner's discretion. There is a 7 night maximum booking stay period.

We are a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay. The house is cute and simple. There weren't too many decorations or things for the kids to get into and I appreciated that. The back deck is beautiful. It's a little further from Branson, but for the price and the quietness it was worth the short 20-minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked. We had enough towels but we quickly ran out of washcloths. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend!

Great little getaway!

Property was very nice and clean. Clear effort went into decorating and the make-up of each room. Great location that was quiet but still a quick drive to get groceries. If I could think of one negative, it would be the huge amount of leaves on the deck. Other than that, it was great time!

Wonderful house in a quiet setting!

This property had so many great amenities and the perfect location. The amount of work and detail the owners put into renovating this house is phenomenal and was the perfect comfortable stay for 5 women on an annual girls weekend trip! The deck is unreal and the pictures don’t even do it justice. So peaceful and the perfect place to escape to after a long day of shopping. 10/10 would recommend and the property owners are super sweet and responsive!

Quiet Hillside, Clean

Easy to find in the dark. We arrived at 1am. The bed was very comfortable. The house has a perfect floorplan. The porch was large and there was a firepit which was perfect for the cooler evenings. We ventured to Top of the Rock, Branson strip, Branson Murder Mystery, and Springfield for Bass Pro and caverns. This location was an easy drive to all of those places.

Birthday family trip

We had the most amazing time here! We had planned on going out to dinner on our first night ,but after spending most the day out at the landing and with the most amazing views and weather we decided to grill and sit outside to eat. We all loved this house! Its so peaceful and beautiful. Very clean and owners very nice and responsive. If your looking to stay out of the busy towns and looking for peaceful beautiful views than this is the place! Amazing trip !

Rejuvenate and Resonate

We had such a peaceful and fun time at the lakehouse. The setting is serene, and the abundance of trees allowed us to do some leaf pile jumping and decorate a charlie brown tree! We watched scary movies at night on the Smart TV and enjoyed Silver Dollar City, only 25 min away! We WILL be back. Also, the owner was super responsive to any questions we had. We wrre bummed we didnt book a longer stay.

We are a family of 4 who love the outdoors! We fell in love with this area when we started taking our kids trout and bass fishing, and we turned it into a yearly tradition/vacation. It was always a dream of ours to be able to visit more often and bring our family and friends. We wanted to share our lakehouse with others so they would be able to make memories like we do. Please reach out with any questions you may have about the house or the area-we stay here often in between guests and are always finding new things to do!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is located in a quiet subdivision along Swan Creek, which feeds into Bull Shoals. There are neighbors, but they are located about a half acre away before you get to our house. We love the seclusion but don't feel completely isolated. It is a mile from town- Casey's (open 24 hours), grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, food trucks, coffee/donut shop, churches, and more. There are also several pullover spots to view beautiful Lake Taneycomo.

What makes this property unique

We love how the house is built into the earth, making this a unique property. The only thing you can see when pulling up to the property is the door! Once you are on the deck, you can't see the neighbors and have complete privacy. We like how close our house is to our favorite fishing spots as well as the sights and activities in Branson.
