About this property
Sparks Fly / The Retreat at Water's Edge / 2 Kayaks, 1 Canoe, 1 Paddle Board
Welcome to Sparks Fly, a custom-built cabin in The Retreat at Water's Edge, a gated community in Tracy City, TN. A short walk to the 95-acre neighborhood lake. 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, and 1 paddle board included. Take in lake view sunsets from the comfort of the front porch or from the warmth of the fire pit.
Whether you're chasing an outdoor adventure, slowing down to recapture your creative inspiration, or rekindling a relationship . . . find just what you're looking for and watch the Sparks Fly.
THE RETREAT AT WATER'S EDGE is a gated resort community in Tracy City, TN. We're partial, but we think it's the best neighborhood in the area!
Here's are a few of the amenities this neighborhood offers:
NEIGHBORHOOD LAKE: Our cabin is a very short walk to the 95-acre calm water lake. Under our porch we have 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, 1 paddle-board, and several life jackets. You are welcome to use these for free during your stay. If you go out the front door of the cabin and walk to the right down Sunset Ct, there is a spot where the road lowers/ narrows and the lake is closer/ more accessible on either side of the road before you get to those few houses on the peninsula/ cul-de-sac. This area is a good spot to put in for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. People also fish in the lake as well.
NEIGHBORHOOD DOCK: If you walk or drive back towards the main entrance to the neighborhood, there will be a playground on your right. Park there and walk past the playground and there is a boardwalk to a covered dock with Adirondack chairs. It’s a great place to relax by the water. {To head towards playground/ main entrance, turn left off Sunset onto Heron in front of the cabin, and then turn right onto Water’s Edge. The playground will be on your right.}
NEIGHBORHOOD FIRE PITS: There are several community fire pits. The closest one is in the cul-de-sac that you can see when looking straight off the front porch. It has orange chairs around it. And it has firewood next to the pit for use. The other pretty cool area is the covered pavilion closest to the main entrance. This one has cafe lights and an actual fireplace and picnic tables. I believe that one should have firewood available as well but I’m not 100% sure.
COMING SOON: Neighborhood swimming pool & walking trail around the lake!

About the host

I am a REALTOR in Nashville. Our family fell in love with Sparks Fly / The Retreat at Water's Edge and we decided to purchase it for our own personal family getaway. When we couldn't come down as often as we'd like, we began renting it out for others to enjoy! We love relaxing on the front porch and taking in the lake views. We love kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing on the lake. We love the area restaurants. And we love the natural beauty of Foster Falls, Sycamore Falls, and more!
Why they chose this property
THE RETREAT AT WATER'S EDGE is a gated resort community in Tracy City, TN. We're partial, but we think it's the best neighborhood in the area!

What makes this property unique
Sparks Fly is close to the 95-acre calm water lake. You can see the water from the front porch and you can leisurely stroll out the cabin and down the street to the water's edge. Under the front porch for your use are 2 kayaks, 1 paddle board (my personal favorite), and 1 canoe. There are also life jackets under the porch, as well. You are welcome to use all of these during your stay!
The covered front porch is amazing. Hook up to the bluetooth speaker and enjoy your favorite music. Or disconnect entirely and listen to the wind in the trees, watch the sun sparkle on the water, and watch the herons and geese on the water.
We love the fire pit in the front yard (hence our cabin's name Sparks Fly). There are skewers in the drawer below the oven for you to use for hot dogs or s'mores. We have plenty of firewood stacked next to the fire pit available for you to use.
Sparks Fly is a custom built home. The main level has 9' ceilings throughout plus a soaring living room ceiling that opens to the second floor. The cabin also has a full-size staircase with oak treads up to the second floor.
The kitchen is fully furnished and open to the main living area. We even have a few extras like a crockpot and blender. And of course we have a coffee maker with complimentary K-cups for your enjoyment.
