About this property
Historic Aldie Farmhouse near Middleburg and Wine Country
Charming, historic 4-bedroom farmhouse with pool located on 10 acres with hardwood floors throughout first floor. Near to Middleburg, wineries and breweries and the weekend Farmer's market at nearby Gilbert’s Corner. The house is set back on a quiet gravel road for lots of privacy but ease of access. 4 bedrooms located upstairs (no elevator or lift). All bedrooms are decent sized. The MB has a queen-sized bed and plenty of closet space, with TV, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with closet and chair, 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds, dresser, closet and chair, 4th bedroom is accessed through a bathroom (yes a bit odd) but has 1 twin bed, there is also a blow up twin bed available. All rooms have windows with screens, window or floor air conditioners, and linens. On the first floor, you are greeted by a large entry room with benches and a closet for coats. The large dining room has a dining table with seating for six people along with two buffet tables. Wireless router access is in this room with an additional one located upstairs in the master bedroom. The large living room is to the left with a sofa bed, large chair and 55” Roku TV. Adjacent to this room are two other ante rooms. One is a wood paneled room with 2 chairs and foosball table, the other has a wet bar and a high top table for games or food. The kitchen is fully equipped with new flooring, refrigerator, faucet, and garbage disposal. Please note that due to renovations by the prior owner the ceiling is only 6’3” tall so please be mindful of this if anyone in your group is taller than that. There is an eat-in dining table with chairs for four. Outside the kitchen is a tiled 3 season patio which could be used year-round and has a rug and space heaters. Taking a few steps down from the patio is an exterior patio with a table and chairs along with an umbrella and a grill. There is also a pool on the property which is open from May 15th until October 1st with a table and chairs. Beach towels are provided. Plenty of parking in your own private driveway. Please note that there are 5 steps to enter the house and only a half bath on first floor in case there are any mobility issues in your party.

The home was quaint, quirky and comfortable. Our host was very responsive to our questions. The bed we used was one of the most comfortable I've found outside of our own.

Thank you so much for the fantastic 8/10 rating and for taking the time to share your feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the comfortable bed and our quaint quirky historic farmhouse. We're always striving to provide a flawless 10-star experience—could you let us know what we could have done to make your visit perfect? We'd love to improve for next time.
Joan was very easy to work with. We did have a problem with a leaky coffee pot but we had brought one with us. She said she would replace it. This is a really old historic home and hard to cool the rooms with window units. Fortunately we had a gorgeous weekend and enjoyed the house as well as the outdoor spaces! Very close to all the wineries, restaurants and sights we wanted to see!
Host was easy to work with, and check-in through lock-box was easy. Description of house was accurate - older farmhouse, quirky layout with multiple levels. Home had plenty of space. Kitchen is not updated, as it is an older house, but was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. (We ate our meals out at restaurants by plan.) Would have loved to use the pool but it rained for the 4 days we stayed over Memorial Day weekend, and temps only in the 60's. I found the horse show jumping photos, pictures, many ribbons, and the history of the house to be intriguing. I would rent this property again, if visiting in the Aldie area.

Thank you for your kind and accurate description of our property. And many thanks for leaving the house in such pristine condition. I wish I could have helped with the weather.
Joan was a great host and quickly responded when needed. We had a lot of room in the house and everyone loved the pool! We would stay again if ever in the area.

Thank you! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. I loved the updates on the soccer matches too!
The house was set up so well for us - Two adult families and two children. The house was clean, spacious with many rooms, and the foosball table was so fun! Nice, spacious, well stocked. The host gets 10 stars for communication! Answers came back within minutes, and if we needed things not in the kitchen, they were delivered promptly. Great experience.
You're close to many places but you feel like you're in your own little world. Very quiet and peaceful. The house has many rooms, which I think is great! So many places to spread out and relax and do what you want. We didn't get to try the pool out very much due to weather, but it's also a nice, relaxing spot. Our family had a great time!
Great location, everything one could ask for in a a property. Joan was very easy to communicate with, and was extremely accommodating. Swimming pool was fun. Would absolutely stay here again.
Joan was the most fantastic host! She was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house was charming and had all of the amenities that you would need for a comfortable stay. The property itself was so beautiful and peaceful. Everyone really enjoyed there stay!
Our group came from all over the US and also from Portugal. Proximity to Dulles was key, and yet we felt like we were in the middle of horse country! Joan was so attentive and made the whole process a breeze! We will certainly book again!
Adorable property with tons of charm. The kids loved playing games in the den each night. Even tho you are minutes from shopping and the airport, while enjoying the pool you feel like you are miles into the country.
Enjoyed the delightful setting in the country. Real farmhouse (which means some mobility challenges as there are steps everywhere and uneven floors). Weather kept us from enjoying the pool, which looks refreshing. Watched deer in the expansive setting. Plenty of parking and comfortable bedrooms for 6.

This farmhouse was purchased many years ago and is across the street from our home. It's a beautiful property with old works charm. Our daughter and her family use it when they are visiting from London but we are so happy to share it with others wishing to visit the beautiful horse country near Middleburg .
What makes this property unique
This property is quiet but with easy access to Rtes 66 and 50. It's great for family reunions, horse show visitors or anyone interested in exploring the region.
