Wonderful stay. House was clean, charming with everything we needed down to the extra beach chairs and boogie boards for kids. Very comfortable beds, great location, easy walk to harbor and 20 min walk to Mackeral Cove beach.
A very comfortable home with all the wonderful characteristics of an older home. Peter has done a thoughtful job with all the little touches - from decor to bandaids to kitchen and linen supplies and to spices. Bed in the master was very comfortable. Great location -Walking distance to waterfront and shops in Jamestown.
My family of five had an amazing week at Pete's house! We can't wait to be back next summer. The location is walkable to town / restaurants, playground, and the beach. The home is well appointed, clean, and charming with a wonderful front porch. Highly recommend!
We rented this home for a family celebration nearby and it was just perfect!Very clean and spacious and fully equipped.Pete was wonderful in communicating with us and making sure we had everything we needed. Being able to walk downtown was a bonus! We will certainly be back!
We loved the location and spaciousness of this 5-bedroom house during our trip to Jamestown for a long weekend. The host is friendly with great communication. We would definitely stay here again
This house was perfect for our group with good sized rooms for everyone and plenty of linens etc. The location couldn't be beat with lots of cute restaurants and shops just a block away. Pete, our host, was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Added bonus, he supplies coffee pods for a Keurig--so handy when travelling! We would definitely book the house again and really appreciate how easy Pete made our stay!

Great house in a great town. Owner was very helpful and nice House was awesome-really clean, spacious and perfect for my large family.
Walking distance to all kinds of neat stuff, including the hop on/hop off Ferry which highly recommend
This property is in a walkable location, near the waterfront, restaurants and shops. The house itself is comfortable and welcoming, with all the charm that comes with an historic home--front and back staircases, random width flooring, etc.! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our coffee and thought the backyard was lovely. Pete, our host, went above and beyond! I would highly recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house felt warm and welcoming and comfortably accommodated 8 of us. It was extremely clean, which is a top priority for us when we travel. The location is perfect…easy walk into town to shop, listen to live music, eat delicious food, and be near the water. The porch was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee, say hi to locals passing by and have a nice drink to relax at the end of the day. Pete was very friendly and responsive. He has created a beautiful home space to enjoy and Jamestown has so much to offer. We loved everything about our experience! Highly recommend!!

Thanks Erin. I’m really glad that you appreciate Jamestown as much as my daughters and I do. You were a terrific guest and it’s always nice when guests leave my house so clean. I hope to hear from you again.
If you’re tired of vacation rentals that all look like, as if they all use the same decorator, this is the place for you. The home reflects the local character of Jamestown/Newport, and accessories fit the character of the house. Everything is within walking distance: grocery store, restaurants, shopping, even the town hall and fire station. You can walk or take a short drive to the local beach. Bigger beaches in Newport are less than 30 minutes away. We enjoyed luscious, juicy strawberries from a local U-pick farm.
We stayed here for four days with a multi-generational family of seven. The older ones enjoyed the preservation of historic details in the this 100+-year-old home, while the little ones were delighted with the multiple staircases, extra rooms, and outdoor pergola and fire pit. You’ll find all the expected amenities plus more. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide variety of cooking pans and utensils. Bed linens and towels re fresh, clean and comfortable. No problems with Wifi. The house was super clean.
Our host Pete was very friendly and responsive. He asked for our suggestions for improvements and responded to each one.
My partner and I stayed here with my parents for the weekend of the Newport Jazz Festival and it was an absolute pleasure. The house is beautiful! It strikes the perfect balance between quintessential historic New England and modern comfort. It was wonderful having the two largest bedrooms on opposite sides of the house, each with a bathroom either in the room or right outside, allowing us all plenty of space and privacy. The kitchen was large and thoroughly stocked with all the silverware, dishes, etc. you might need to cook or entertain. Everything was so easy to find, and Pete was a fantastic and communicative host who anticipated our every need and made our stay absolutely effortless. The town of Jamestown is very charming, with great restaurants and shops, and the house is just a couple minutes walk to the ferry dock, making getting to the festival in Fort Adams a breeze. It was very hot the weekend we were there, but the bedroom ACs took no time at all to cool things off so we could sleep comfortably, and the downstairs with all the large windows stayed breezy and cool throughout our stay. We especially loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch with our coffee and books. Everything was impeccably fresh and clean and WIFI was excellent. We went on to another planned vacation spot up in Bar Harbor after our stay here, but we were all sad to leave this beautiful, bright home—it was the highlight of our entire trip. Highly recommend!
