Enjoy the relaxing ‘Island Life’, where you can walk to the beach, watch boats go by and take pleasure in beautiful sunsets, from the deck of this charming 1,700 square foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bath cottage with water views of the West Passage of Narragansett Bay.

Situated in a quiet family neighborhood, this bright and comfortable cottage features an open and dining area. The open kitchen and island are perfect for gathering after a day on the beach or through the glass sliding door to the covered deck to watch the sunset. Spanning the entire length of the cottage, the deck allows endless enjoyment of the refreshing sea air, and the parade of boats out on the water. Set up croquet in the yard, while enjoying the beautiful sunsets.

The spacious living room opens to the deck, as does the master bedroom, with its own sliding door to the deck and water views. A finished walk-out lower level, with a full bathroom, round out the amenities of this charming home by the sea, which is nestled within one of Narragansett Bay's most desirable island communities.

An added bonus feature is the downstairs spacious living area, with recreation area perfect for kids, including smart TV/Blu-ray and games, while parents entertain upstairs. The house is equipped with anything you could ask for! TV, Blu-ray, board games, books, WiFi, beach chairs and towels with the beach right down the street. Bring your kayak and explore the coast.

No daily housekeeping provided. We provide cleaning and laundry products. Linens & towels are supplied by owner, with cleaning fee included, however if the property is not left in an acceptable condition an additional cleaning fee will be assessed against your damage deposit. This is a NON-smoking property. You may smoke outside, but please dispose of all cigarettes properly in trash. If the cottage interior smells of smoke, your damage deposit will not be refunded.

Fantastic Location! Relaxing Stay!!!

Loved the location, easy to get to Newport for a night out downtown, yet just as much fun to play Bocci in the backyard and get Fresh Lobsters for the very Nice Grill! Wonderful Time!!!!

Wonderful house close to water

We stayed here for a week with my brothers family and we loved everything about the house especially the 5 minute walk to the beach! The House was super clean , the basement is great and the basement 2 Nd bathroom is huge ! Loved everything about it !

After about 25 years elsewhere in Jamestown, this was a very happy vacation home. The house looks like a generic raised ranch, but it surprised us with its comfort and convenience.

First family getaway in Jamestown

Clean comfortable stay in a lovely town! Within walking distance of small, dog friendly beach with pretty sunsets. Plenty of room to gather in the well-equipped home for games, dinner, catching up. Close to bridge access back to Narragansett beaches and restaurants or to explore Newport. Easy and prompt communication with very responsive homeowner. Overall, a great spot to relax with family!

Great house is a very nice neighborhood

We were in Rhode Island for a sports camp for our kids and decided to make a vacation of it. The house had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen. Great back yard and covered deck. Neighborhood was very nice. We walked to the beach area each day. The location was great for exploring areas around Rhode Island like Newport and Matunuck.

Perfect vacation home

We had a truly perfect week at this home in Jamestown. It was stocked with everything we could possibly need and we felt right at home! The neighborhood and the house are so quaint. The house itself is within walking distance of a small beach, and it's just a quick jaunt over the bridge to Narragansett or Newport. We loved being able to easily access the night life in Newport so easily, but also loved how quiet and relaxing the house in Jamestown was. It was truly an amazing week and would recommend this house to anyone!

Nice comfortable home

We visited this home to attend Parent's weekend at the Naval Academy Prep School. It is very convenient to Newport. The home is very well suited to six people. The lower level is a huge area, wonderful for young folks to gather for games or TV with lots of seating. We did not use either of the pull out couches so cannot comment on their sleeping comfort. There is a large, flat back yard wonderful for Frisby or other games. The kitchen area is equipped with plenty of dishes and flatware though the frying pans appear to have been abused. We would definitely return if there is another long weekend to visit the area.

Lovely, restful vacation

Jamestown is the perfect, quiet getaway spot and we really enjoyed staying at this property. It was clean and well stocked with all the necessities. We particularly liked the deck with the view through the trees to the water. There is a small beach - Sunset Beach - within walking distance, but it's more of a viewing spot because the sand is covered with shells and there's a lot of seaweed. We drove the short distance to Mackerel Cove which had lifeguards and a bathroom and the swimming there was perfect.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view

This home was immaculately clean, well stocked, and had a beautiful view of the ocean. It’s conveniently located near beaches and in town. My family enjoyed our stay here very much and would love to stay again sometime!

Highly recommend!!

We just enjoyed a week in this lovely home. It is by far the best equipped VRBO home we have rented. The kitchen has everything you could need and there were plenty of towels and linens. Beach chairs were such a nice treat! The home is very comfortable, spacious and clean and just a quick walk to Sunset beach where we enjoyed several amazing sunsets. The deck and grill were wonderful for meals outdoors and watching boats pass by. The location is perfect for going to Newport, Block Island, Narragansett and many other beaches. The fire pit was a big hit for making s’mores and the yard is beautiful. Jon was extremely responsive to any questions we had and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a terrific week!

Our Thanksgiving Vacation - 2018

The 15 Starboard property was very clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed, with a kitchen fully-stocked with cooking appliances and dishes. The place has plenty of bedding, and lots of comfortable places to hang out and sleep. There is a sizable yard for games. It's a quick drive to Newport for activities. The property was right near the water, and we often went for walks or runs around the neighborhood...it's a beautiful spot. Everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend this place!

Great home with relaxing deck looking over the ocean. Incredible sunsets!

Home had ample space for our family of 7. We enjoyed cooking in the modern kitchen as well as exploring the wonderful restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed the lovely beach at sandy Cove and meeting some locals. The ocean was calm and clear and our daughter swam all day long. I would highly recommend this vacation home.

Great Location!

Our stay in Jamestown was very relaxing and enjoyable. The house was well equipped, and clean. The view from the deck was fabulous. Another amazing week in Jamestown!

My family enjoyed another incredible week in beautiful Jamestown! This was our third summer renting this house, & as in the past two summers, it couldn't have been any more relaxing and convenient! The view of the water from the deck just never gets old, & the neighborhood is just so ideal for walking and biking with the beautiful Sunset Beach right down the road totally living up to it's name! Our teenage boys and their friends went to several different beaches from Newport to Narragansett, & then many nights enjoyed the spacious lower level to hang out & watch movies...plenty of room in this house for all! We lucked out this year renting the week of the 4th of July and were treated to some amazing fireworks from the various towns with perfect viewing right from the back deck! Needless to say, we will be back...this house has everything...from beach chairs & boogie boards to all your kitchen & bath needs...can't wait to return next year!

Great experience

Lovely home and location. Interior outfitted to make one feel right at home. Back yard was perfect for several challenging croquet matches. The sunsets from the deck made our martinis taste better than ever. For sight seeing, the walks at Fort Wetherill State Park, casual dining at Fish in Jamestown, taking the ferry across Narragansett Bay, or upscale dining at 41 North in Newport were all great.

Fantastic return stay!

We had another perfect week in Jamestown with our teenage sons and two of their friends! The house has all the conveniences & the view from the deck is lovely! We really enjoyed morning and evening walks, bike rides throughout the neighborhood, and watching many beautiful sunsets right down the road at the little beach. Some daytrip highlights were Beavertail Lighthouse (only 10 minutes away), Newport Cliff Walk & beaches, Fort Adams and Newport mansions. We also enjoyed chowder & clamcakes at Chopmist Charlies, and an incredible breakfast and gelato at Slice of Heaven! Hope to return next summer!

Home away from home

We returned to this house for our RI vacation and couldn't have been happier with our stay. This house is perfect for our family and feels like a home away from home. It is well stocked with everything we need and the owner is incredibly responsive and informative about things to do in the area. Our kids loved the downstairs surround sound TV. My father- in-law has assistive needs and it is a great set up for him with a bedroom, bath and access to the deck on the main level. He loves to enjoy the view and watch the boats. We also had a fabulous dinner at the Matunuck Oyster Bar in S. Kingston, only 25 mins away. We can't wait to return next year!

Having settled in the upstate NY Albany area, we enjoy skiing in the winter and the local lakes in the summer, but missed the open water. Getting a place on the water in Jamestown has been wonderful! There is much to explore and do on the island, and it's only a short hop over the bridge to all the bustle and activity in Newport.

Jon has retired from a long career in commercial building services and now focuses on finding, renovating and operating choice vacation rental properties in Jamestown. Jon continues to sail and race competitively when he can.

Mary Ellen continues her passion of leading STRIDE Adaptive Sports, a non-profit organization she founded as an outgrowth of her teaching career, providing sports and recreational activities for youth and Wounded Warriors with disabilities. www.STRIDE.org

We love the Jamestown/Newport area. There is great sailing, biking, diving/snorkeling, and beaches. We enjoy the activities and sights of Newport with the more relaxed atmosphere of Jamestown island.
