This rustic and charming New England style cottage offers the perfect summer antidote to a busy and hectic life. It is an unpretentious, simple house with wooden floors and walls, a large kitchen that seats 8 and a big dining room that seats 10 - though we have had as many as 16! The covered front porch is ideal for breakfast coffee or late afternoon drinks; the side porch is perfect for BBQ and lounging in the sun. Note: Rental period is May through Oct. and there is a 2-week minimum from June 15th to Sept. 15th.
Please note: As this is an older wooden summer house it is impossible to exterminate all pests over time. This means you will most likely find some evidence of mice and insects.
The cottage faces a fine 9-hole golf course and is a minute walk from 6 excellent clay tennis courts (groomed by staff). Three beaches with safe swimming, pier and diving board are a 5 minute walk; plus, the beach chairs are already there for you. There are safe paths and roads ideal for running, biking or strolling. There is even a camp for your kids!

Well loved summer cottage in a perfect location within the gated Nonquitt community. Tennis and golf steps away, and beaches a 5 min easy walk. Enjoyed the outdoor shower and quiet peaceful front porch. Martin was extremely helpful and responded quickly and thoroughly.
This huge home is perfect for our family! It has a rustic charm that speaks of classic Nonquitt. Having visited for many years, Nonquitt is one of our favorite places in the world. In recent years we have outgrown the home we have always visited. It has been difficult to find a place large enough to hold our growing family. This cottage is perfect and embodies everything that we love about Nonquitt!
Fabulous little community with great amenities, the cottage sits right on a golf course and tennis courts, a 5 minutes walk from the beach. It is a summer cottage in the true sense, it brought recollections of summers growing up, for some of us we felt as if we had dropped into a period movie set, making for a real escape. Totally relaxed. The outside shower is tops!
We were pleased with our stay at this cottage in Nonquitt Community. We were fortunate to book this at the last minute and to tie in with plans of other relatives visiting and living in the New Bedford area. It made for a perfect vacation--It served as as a base to take trips into New Bedford to museums, restaurants and harbor tours as well as to Cape Cod for humpback whale-watching and scenic touring. Our computers and cell phones worked well. The cottage worked for us and helped us have a very happy and enjoyable family reunion in the lovely and very historic Cape Cod area. Our thanks to the owner for a great vacation!

Charming
I hesitated to write a review because I did not want anyone else to know about this gem. Two weeks was not long enough! Clean, spacious, everything we could want, including 2 great bikes, and badminton! There is something for everyone from my 90 year old father to little ones. If you want a real change from the modern world, this is it. Big windows catch the breezes, beach, tennis, and golf literally right out the front door! Although there is internet, there is no TV which was wonderful. Lots of pictures of the generations of the same family who have loved this
house. We just booked it for next year for as many weeks as we could get! I am so glad that places like this still exist.

Wow!
My husband and I stayed here for several weeks in September and had an absolutely glorious time! I simply can not overstate this — we can't imagine a better place or time to vacation, and we've traveled to many countries. During our September stay, the days were sunny and warm, the nights cool and perfect for sleeping, and the water was perfect; it was absolutely heavenly during my early morning swims and late afternoon dips (following tennis and before cocktails). We had several different couples come and stay with us and each and every one of them said the same thing: "How did you find this place? This is paradise!"

Perfect.
We have rented houses every summer in this region and this by far was the best. Lots of bedrooms, a cozy yet open, laid back interior, and most importantly, a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches around (with beach chairs and toys provided!!) We are not big golfers or tennis players but if you are, both are steps away. Neighbors are great. Everyone is very friendly. I could go on....

The "I wish I never had to leave house"
Loved the house the moment we saw it.We stayed 2 weeks in the house and would 've stayed longer if available. Has everything you could need . rustic charm with all the modern conviences. The house demanded relaxation. Spacious and comfortable. Big enough for our large family but with plenty of cozy corners. Many family moments enjoyed in the private yard. Wonderful to have an area big enough for us to enjoy a meal together or play board games on the rainy days. Easy walk to beach. The beach was uncrossed and picturesque. The Bay was great for small boat and kayaking. Yard and neighborhood very pet friendly.Owner great to work with. We were also very appreciative of The history and photos about the house It only added more charm to a great home. thanks for sharing it!
