Romantic cottage in a private corporation, walking distance to the beach. Perfect for a quiet getaway, or an extra place to stay for weddings and family reunions. Tennis and golf are available. Nature trails surround a salt/fresh water marsh.
Charming interior includes a living room, dining area and full kitchen with washer and dryer on the ground floor, as well as a room with two cots, a half bath and an outdoor shower. The second floor includes a bedroom with a kingsize bed and a private bath.

Short break - beautiful setting!

The property was in a lovely position and was very cute and quirky - we loved the layout and the situation on the nonquitt estate. The property was quiet and afforded us the break we needed! Ellen was great and a very friendly host. The only concern we had was the WiFi was very intermittent and stopped working on the 2nd day - my parents came from the UK and needed WiFi to contact my grandparents - and so we appreciate this could just have been an issue for us and others may not be concerned at all. Thank you Ellen and Lawrence! Amy and family x

Hidden gem

This is a hidden gem set in an idyllic New England coastal community. We were attending a local wedding and this was the perfect spot to relax and have our downtime. It was just the two of us but absolutely could have accommodated another couple.

Could not have been better

We loved it. The owners/managers are wonderful, the house itself very comfortable, the setting ideal. We were there for all the wrong reasons (death of my wife's brother), our stay at Nonquitt provided solace when we most needed it.

An architect and his wife bought this property so that their family could spend vacations with friends by the water. We enjoy boating, tennis and golf.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because Nonquitt is unique community where little children can ride bicycles and enjoy the beach. The beach and dock are perfect for all ages, and the swimming is delightful. We also like the proximity to Padanaram town and harbor. New Bedford, the nearest city has many interesting sites, including the Whaling Museum.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is cozy and comfortable. We love the vaulted ceiling in the living room with the decoys and various hunting prints that add to the room's charm.
