Welcome to Lake Country Haven, an inviting home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, conveniently located near five lakes, biking trails to downtown Delafield, and the picturesque Lapham Peak State Park. Ideal for families seeking outdoor adventures and relaxation, our property offers a comfortable stay with easy access to nature.

Key Features:

Prime Location: Explore nearby lakes for kayaking and fishing, enjoy biking trails to downtown Delafield and Oconomowoc, or hike the scenic trails of Lapham Peak State Park. Nature enthusiasts and outdoor lovers will find plenty of activities to enjoy. Delafield was just recognized for having one of the best restaurant scenes in Wisconsin.

Outdoor Enjoyment: Our private fenced-in backyard features a fire pit, outdoor lounge seating, and a dining table that seats 6. Take advantage of our three adult bikes and two kayaks to explore the surrounding lakes and trails, making the most of your outdoor experience. The home is 2 blocks from the bike trail and there is a kayak/boat launch right down the road. **Don't have a truck to move the kayaks. We do have two wheeled kayak carriers that you could take to the kayak launch via the bike trail.

Family-Friendly Amenities: Embrace quality family time with board games, kids' toys, books, ping pong, an arcade basketball game, an additional living area in the lower level and two pack-and-plays for the little ones.

Pet-Friendly: We welcome well-behaved pets to join your family vacation. Our property offers a pet-friendly environment, ensuring your furry friends can enjoy the vacation experience too. If you are not bringing a pet please be rest assured the home is extremely clean for our non-pet lovers as well.

Occupancy: Please note our occupancy includes two additional people beyond the bed count. There is additional bedding, a double reclining loveseat, and two pack-and-plays in the home. If you need anything additional please reach out and we will figure something out.

Quaint little home, very clean - strange noises- maybe haunted? Downside was it was written up as a 'privacy fenced yard' - it was 3 sided only and having pets (for me) wasn't as comfortable having to walk them 5 times for relief a day!Tv's in every room great if you gamed- not good for watching television- Close to activities - even tho there for work - thank you to host

We did want to clarify that the noise you heard was actually a small branch brushing the top of the house after the heavy storms and flooding that week. Thankfully, we had no flood damage, but we did have a few small limbs that have since been trimmed and taken care of. As for the backyard, you’re absolutely right that the privacy fence is designed to provide privacy, but does not fully enclose the yard, as it doesn’t extend over the driveway. The yard is not advertised as being completely fenced in, but in our welcome manual, we include directions for setting up a removable fence (stored in the garage) that can close off the driveway if guests prefer a more enclosed space. I’m so sorry for the confusion, and I appreciate you mentioning it so we can make that even clearer for future guests. We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient location and thoughtful amenities, and we truly appreciate you choosing our home during your time in the area. You’re welcome back anytime! Take care, Debbie

In 2021, we embarked on a journey of change, selling our family home in Port Washington, WI, and embracing the tranquility of our cabin in Pelican Lake, WI. But family is everything to us, and with our daughters and grandchildren settled in Lake Country, we couldn't resist being close to them and also fell in love with the area. When we are in town you can find us cross-country skiing at Lapham Peak, hitting up a Dockhounds baseball game with our grandchildren, or kayaking down the Bark River.

Why they chose this property

When looking for properties we fell in love with our Oconomowoc home location. It is in a sweet quiet neighborhood and has easy access to downtown Delafield, bike trails, lakes, and Lapham Peak. To us, Lake Country has all the feels of Northern Wisconsin yet still allows us to enjoy the nearby upbeat downtown shops and restaurants. Plus we are close to Hwy 94 where we can easily get to Milwaukee and Madison.
