The Space:

By choosing this arrangement you're renting the full property. Casa Macu includes four independent units:

– Two bungalows with two bedrooms each —a master bedroom and a second bedroom (Ona & Nami units)

– Two bungalows with one bedroom each (Sich & Lua units)



All four bungalows feature private outdoor patios with wooden decks; three include a plunge pool, while one offers a water tank—perfect for cooling off, relaxing, or enjoying an ice bath session.



With double-height spaces and high ceilings, the interiors offer a strong sense of spaciousness and understated elegance from the moment you enter.

Abundant natural light enhances the warm, cozy, and vibrant atmosphere throughout.



The fully equipped kitchen, stocked with high-quality cookware and state-of-the-art appliances, is ideal for guests who enjoy cooking and sharing meals.



All bedrooms feature exceptionally comfortable king-size beds, creating a true sanctuary of rest and tranquility. The master bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms, offering added comfort and privacy.

*Please note that only the master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The one bedroom units and secondary bedrooms do not have bathrooms on the same level and require going downstairs to access the bathroom on the ground floor.



If additional sleeping space is needed, each bungalow is equipped with a futon bed:

– The Ona unit offers a full-size futon bed located in the living room

– The Nami unit offers a single-size futon bed located in the living room

– Sich & Lua units offer a full-size futon bed located in the mezzanine next to the bedrooms

These futons allow the property to accommodate up to 7 additional guests, if required.

Guest Access:

Casa Macu is located in the prime area of the stunning La Saladita beach, just a two-minute walk from the surf break.



The kitchen has the essentials for cooking (olive oil, salt, pepper, spices, sugar, coffee).



To ensure the proper functioning of the water treatment plant, at Casa Macu we provide guests with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and dish soap.



All bungalows have access to a surfboards rack, bathroom and outside showers.

The Neighborhood:

La Saladita offers one of the best surf spots in the world; its waves are consistent throughout the year. It is an exceptional place for both beginners and advanced surfers, since in the surroundings there are a great variety of waves for all levels.



Where to eat at La Saladita:

c) Oli (on one side of the access to the fishermen's boats)

d) Ilianet (towards the houses furthest from the surf point)

g) Marea (A place in front of the surf point to eat and drink (there are pizzas).

Getting Around:

La Saladita is a walkable community. Restaurants and the surf spot are close to Casa Macu and it is not necessary to rent a car.



If you want to buy things to eat you can stop at the supermarket in Zihuatanejo (Mega Soriana, near the airport) or once you are in the area, buy basic things in the stores of the nearest town (Los Llanos).



If your level of surfing is intermediate or advanced, renting a car will allow you to visit other nearby surf spots.



For taxi service, ask for the contact number. Casa Macu has a preferential rate for transfers from the airport to La Saladita, as well as a car rental company that offers a very good service.



Other Things to Note:

Caring for the environment is very important to us, which is why Casa Macu has equipment for power generation and solar water heating, a water treatment plant, and a waste separation process.

Bookings canceled at least 60 days before check-in will receive 93% refund. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before check-in will receive a 43% refund.

b) We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID, as well as pay a refundable deposit or a non-refundable waiver that covers you for accidental damage through Know Your Guest (Truvi).

La Saladita is a rural area surrounded by nature and wildlife, so it’s normal to hear animals and occasionally see insects, especially in tropical climates and indoor–outdoor spaces. Our team maintains the bungalows with frequent cleaning, regular compost removal, monthly fumigation, and ongoing upkeep to keep everything in great condition.



If you notice ants, insects, drainage issues, or anything that needs attention, please let us know right away and we’ll gladly assist. To help prevent insects, we kindly ask guests to keep food sealed and avoid leaving it out.

The cleaning and maintenance staff visits the property 3 times a week. This allows us to keep the house in good condition, provide maintenance and ensure that the experience of the guests is of quality.
