Nice location & properties, but too bad is poorly managed.
I booked this place based on all the nice pictures we see (especially the game room that was set up in the barn!) Upon arrival! Nothing was like in the pictures. Imagine all 26 teens excited to be having to play and chill in the big nice well lighted barn *just like the picture* turned to their biggest nightmare! No games equipment there, all lights were partly working, flickering, and dimmed. Inside the barn was creepy too that none wants to ever come back to see it. Still we hoped a little more by opening the ‘game room’ it was dust all over, mouse poops, games were just stashed in the corners with little deflated balls, all beanbag chairs heavily stained and dusty that none wants to even touch it. Well the good thing is the main house and studios were decent for the stay. Minimal complaint here besides lots of air mattress not working or have holes in it, some flickering lights, no working remote to the TV, blankets have stains, torn down bed frame in the master bedroom. Good thing we brought our own air mattress, if not some will have to sleep on the floor. I dont know how the vrbo have their quality control, but this place looks like its not managed anymore or at least needs heavy attention. I dont know how old was the pictures being advertised there in the listing. Definitely not the same!Lots of potential to make money if well managed! I am sure it can even be sold out booked all year round if investing another 50K!

Disappointing Stay
We stayed at this property for a few days, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped. Upon arrival, we encountered several issues that made our stay uncomfortable and unsatisfactory.
First, we found hair in the freezer, which was a clear indication that the kitchen was not properly cleaned. The patio furniture was also covered in bird droppings, making the outdoor space unusable without extensive cleaning. Inside the home, the rugs in the living area had raised corners, creating a tripping hazard. We had to flip the rug over to make it somewhat safer. There is mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.
Additionally, when pulling back the bedding, we discovered hair on the sheets, which was unsettling, and the overall smell of the house was unpleasant throughout our stay.
These issues seriously affected our ability to enjoy the property. The cleanliness and upkeep were far below what is expected from a VRBO rental.
We requested and were issued a full refund of our cleaning fee due to the poor condition of the property however, it didn't seem adequate.
We picked this property because it had a lot of amenities and was located somewhat remotely. We had 28 people stay from Friday to Sunday and it was beautiful and nice. Host was responsive and helpful with all questions prior to arrival. Want to stay here again!
My family's stay was 7/18-7/21. We had a great time! The space was excellent, the owner was very responsive, respectful, and accommodating. We were able to mix a bit of wildlife, in a country setting with modern conveniences everywhere. The kids played, swan, and got to know each other as adults, played, swan and were able to reacquaint with each other.
We hosted an all woman’s wellness retreat at this property. It was perfect for our needs. Lots of space and privacy. The owner was very easy to work with an accommodating. We will be back!

Responsive host but property needs a lot of work
We rented the main house and separate apartments, the property did not appear to be cleaned before we checked in. Floors were dirty, there were bugs and spiders, and we found mouse or rat poop in one of the bedrooms. Linens on some of the beds did not appear clean either, so we had to rewash some linens. The dryer door doesn’t close, there is a piece of duct tape to hold the door closed but it doesn’t work anymore so you have to restart the dryer multiple times for it to finish drying. Most of the showers had low water pressure. There was a poop in one toilet and that toilet had the water turned off so we couldn’t flush it, once we turned the water back on then the toilet leaked. This property needs an overhaul, it was extremely overpriced for what we got. We had to vacuum many areas ourselves, I had to request towels, washcloths, paper towels and a pack and play (which was advertised as being available but we couldn’t find it) from the host. The host was responsive and sent over needed items quickly, but the handyman who was going to come “first thing in the morning” came in the afternoon to fix the toilet, which turned out he couldn’t fix it without turning the water off so he just left it leaking (at least we could flush it then). The pool had a dead frog in it and needed cleaning, too, and we had to figure out how to get the pool pump working. The hiking trails were covered with brambles and very hard to follow. Too much work for the price, not pleasant
This was the perfect place for a large group (20 adults) to have a family reunion. We ended up using some of the air mattresses to fit everyone which worked great. The kitchen is beautiful, well-equipped, and became our main hang-out spot. The jacuzzi was a nice bonus, too. Levi got back quickly to a couple questions I had on the first day. The internet connection was a little slow but that's probably because there were so many people at the house using it at the same time. Would definitely recommend a stay if you're in the area, especially if you have a bigger group!
